No I will not be buying it at all. Well at least not at launch. I am gonna wait to see if it turns out to be pure shit like MW2. If its more like CoD4 then sure I may get it. But so many good looking games are coming out this season its a very VERY low priority.
I will eventually, but I'm going to spend the first few months destroying my friend's stats in the multiplayer, because that's what I do. I'll probably do that with Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3 too. I think it's going to be pretty fun, the original Modern Warfare's was great and I found Modern Warfare 2's campaign surprisingly fun (I just recently beat it for the first time, about two months ago) so hopefully this is going to be alright, I'm not going to hold my hopes up high though.
It depends on what my friends are doing. If none of them are on, I might wait for them to jump into multiplayer. I like having a competent team.

I'm going to buy it on release day at full price, and I'm thinking about gettin the special edition just for the sake of it. Yes, I'm THAT guy.

Not unless it's released at half of it's standard price. Seriously, I would pay around half of the retail price for an edition that just came with the single player. For those of us who want the campaign but will never use the multiplayer that £40 day one price tag is a major put off.
I suppose I could rent it, but then I'm notorious for renting a game and dropping out of the mood to play it. I want to 'want' to play it so I can enjoy it, not simply play it out of obligation because Blockbuster want it back tomorrow night.

well I won't be playing the campaign, I have owned ever version of CoD since 4 was released and CoD4 is the only one of the lot I've actually seen through to the end.Viking Incognito said:

I didn't realize that this was a thing. I always figured that everyone played the single player at least once.
I don't know why I wouldn't play it. I will buy the game for everything it comes with, otherwise it wouldn't warrant a purchase from me.
I will. I actually enjoy the story in the Modern Warfare games and I'm looking forward to seeing how this one wraps it all up.
