Are you weak to spoilers?

I found out that I am. I'm hyping myself to death for Uncharted 2 so much, that every time that I see a new screenshot or video clip of anything I haven't seen before, I directly avoid it, thinking it is a spoiler, and if I see it by misstake, then I directly start thinking that I've spoiled like 60% of the campaign.

I hate knowing anything about movies or games. When someone told me that *blank* was dead in Gears of War 2 and that *blank* killed himself I was very upset. I wanted it to be a surprise. It kind of ruins the experience. It's like knowing what you're going to get for your birthday.

I keep doing that. I really want a game so I look through everything about it, thinking I probably won't buy it though. In the end I do, and I already know who dies and what aspect of your protagonist is forever destroyed etc.

I hate those people that do that. Whenever it happens I just want to kick them for being such an arse.

I love watching trailers, but I'd rather watch gameplay.

Good topic BTW

I have such an awesome memory that you can spoil me everything about a movie 24 hours before I see it and I won't remember a thing.

To me, somehow, it doesn't make a difference. For example, I hadn't seen a film yet, and a friend was telling me all aout it, but it had little effect on my experience in watching the film. Wierd..

I used to be weak to spoilers, wanting to know everything about the newest games coming out etc. Then I realised discovering stuff in the game was less fun - I generally view enough material to decide if I want a game, and then forget about it until release day. Going into ODST I'd only seen the trailer and the first cutscene from one of Bungie's ViDocs. All I've seen of Modern Warfare 2 is the first gameplay footage they showed with the mountain climbing up to the jetski chase.
I know NOTHING about Bioshock 2, and the only stuff I I know about Mass Effect 2 is that it's possible for Shepherd to die.

I hate trailers or glimpses of things. There are so many potential spoilers. For example, you look at one screenshot and a character is fine, the next screenshot you see is of the main character as a bodd and it spoils it. 'I know he's going to die' and I don't get attached to the character and it ruins it all x_X

I have a habit of remembering spoilers when I don't want to.
Therefore I make it my duty to avoid them where possible.

That's exactly how it is for me too. I hate it.

I used to love spoilers, but then I realisd they made things less fun to watch as I knew what was gonna happen.
So now I try to directly avoid sometihng and hate myself with a hammer when I read a spoiler accidentaly.

I'm spoiler paranoid, from books, films, games, it's quite ridiculous actually. I just love going in naked and soaking it all in at once.

If I only have a casual interest I'll forget every spoiler I've been told and will enjoy the movie/game immensely.

However if my interest is strong then sadly every spoiler shall be ingrained into my memory and I shall be very angry.

Theoretically it's always possible for your main character to die, but I know what your referring to, so forgive my dickery.

I accidentally spoiled most of the Point Lookout story for myself. I was sad.

The only spoilers I get from other people are the ones I ask for, for games I can't play (eg: MGS4 and R&C games)

Absolutly not....People around me spoil like hell...but later when I watch the movie or play the game (whatever the case may be) I still have loads of fun...probably because the people who try to spoil me the fun are idiots...
