Are you what you always wanted to be?

I'm sure a lot of us at some point in our childhood dreamt of what we wanted to be. But plans change or we do, frankly when i was young i wanted to be a mad scientist... or play video games for a living.

So what did you want to be when you were young and are you still planning to do that job or already are?

(Also you can post funny stories of little kids telling you what they wanted to be, like the child who said they wanted to be a midget when they grew up.)

I'm starting to get closer. I wanted to be the lead singer in a band and play gigs. Now I play bass in a band, we are about to record on the weekend and we play our first gig in a couple of months. It's just taken me a lot longer to get where I wanted to be than I anticipated.

I may be an "adult", but I'm still a kid. Videogames, comicbooks, candy, all that stuff. I'm trick-or-treating come haloween. And I've never had a constant idea of where I want to be. Somewhere in the back of my brain I'm still aiming for superhero. I wanted to do everything as a kid, so yes. Right now I am where I saw myself(at some point) as a child. But I'm still moving up, becaise I'm not where I saw myself as a child.

Kick the first three off the list and you have what I'm studying to become. I haven't graduated from high school yet but I'm studying the field. Don't worry, I'm aware that it's not a million dollar job, but a job I can enjoy is all I need. I still wish I could build my own Super Star Destroyer.

I wouldnt define grownup as how old you are, but rather how mature. Can i ask what a sound engineer is? I've never heard of it.

Things I want to do:

1)I passed every history class and AP government without studying, I did ok in German, I'm alright at English/writing, but when it comes to math and science I'm a fucking failure which leaves me with no job options. What the fuck am I gonna do? I HAVE NO DIRECTION OR MONEY MAKING ABILITIES. ARRRRRGH! Guess I could just pick up a skilled trade...

2) Get into game design. Sure I could sit back and be one of those people who says, "hey! i'll be an engineer!" but then i'd remember that I fucking suck at math. Its always something I really felt I'd be good at, and thats pretty rare for me.

3) Start a civil war and kick the south out. No more red states ruining everything we do by electing dipshits. Thanks for the last 8 years, now take some time off from voting until you're not stupid anymore.

4) Be Indiana Jones.

5) Become a ninja. There HAS to be ninjas somewhere!

6) Become a Mexican pro wrestler just for the mask.

You could always be a translator for the UN. my gf is fluent in japanese and plans to do that. pays pretty well i hear.
