How does the hotly anticipated sequel to 2009's smash hit Arkham Asylum hold up?

Thanks for watching!

Solid review. I definitely agree Arkham City was less structured than Arkham Asylum. With that said, I think AC is the better game because of the improved combat (the gadgets and beat downs are great), better story (I just loved the ending), better boss battles, the much improved gliding, and well-crafted Riddler challenges (you need to use your brain on several of them). I usually hate open world/sandbox games because level design usually takes a big hit and I had my worries about AC, but Rocksteady managed to keep the level design fairly solid while expanding the game world quite a bit. AA did have better level design because the game was very linear and there were more interiors. The one thing I miss most from AA was the Scarecrow sections, Rocksteady had quite the opportunity to create very similar sections using either Hugo Strange or The Mad Hatter. I did enjoy the freedom and various sidequests but it did feel weird to have Protocol 10 commencing in say 4 hours and then wasting 4+ hours on Riddler challenges and sidequests.

Well done review; but the focus seems to lack around value, menu design, and even the presentation

My only gripe with that review is that it seemed TOO professional. As if the style was a bit cliche.

I agree about the Scarecrow sections, they were a massive highlight in AA for me, so it would have been interesting to see some kind of take on this for AC. Glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for the comment!
