Every year there are always one or two small movie that don't get a lot of attention but should. This year, there is a long list of movies that are gob-smackingly original and deserves to be seen. I am very tempted to list them all. Right now, I'll just focused on one movie that I caught on the last day in the theater before it will disappear.

This is amazingly based on a true story that happened a few years ago. An eccentric guy who believed he was called by God (played brilliantly by Russell Brand) to capture (but not kill) Osama Bin Laden. Nicholas Cage gives an Oscar-worthy performance as Gary Faulkner. The supporting cast are reliable comedic actors that grounds the movie: Will Sasso, Rainn Wilson, and Paul Scheer. Wendi McLendon-Covey deserves recognition for her emotionally difficult performance as the woman who tries to balance her difficult life while dealing with an emotionally unstable man who cares about her. This movie have consistent laughs throughout. While giving an unexpected and well-earned emotional moment at the end.

It has a limited release. Your best chance to see it is probably streaming services when the movie becomes available there.
