So I've been watching Arrow over the past year and I've enjoyed it mildly. It has some good action scenes, a few interesting characters and plot points, very variable acting and some horrible acting. That's how I feel about it.

But I've read a lot of reviews, and all of them seem to be all over themselves about how great it is. They are talking about how they welled up at certain points and are immensely entertained. I just don't see it, I try to look through the reviews to see if there is anything I am missing. I really want to like it as much as everyone seems too. Maybe I am just getting old.

So, my question to you is: Do you watch it? Do you like it? If you LOVE it, can you tell me why?

(Oh, and by the way, Hannibal is best show on television)

Well, I was planning on watching it. I'd just finished Dexter and needed something else to watch. Before I did, I decided to ask some coworkers. Each of them said it was terrible. So I decided to not watch it. I'm sure I'll get around to it sooner or later.

I enjoy it, but given what I had been told I don't enjoy it as much as I was hoping. It's a good show, but given what some people where saying on message boards I was slightly disappointed. (I herd a lot of people saying it blew AoS out of the water, which I'll admit for season 2 was true, but for season 1 was far from the case. Not that surprising when I think about it, most shows tend to have their first season be a comparatively weak one)

I don't think it is bad but I have never been that much of a fan of the show. To me it just feels like the show runners really wanted to do a show about Batman but were not allowed to use Batman, tho many of the bad guys in the show have been from his D list rogue gallery (and one form his A list).

But as I have said in other threads I am happy that people like the show and that it has done well because it has led to a Flash show and I love the Flash. Of cause should the show suck I will hate Arrow for opening the door for a bad Flash show being created.

It's not bad. It's average. There's a difference. Bad stuff is worse than average. Average stuff is just...unremarkable. As it so often is lately, it's something that was betting on marketing instead of quality.

I enjoy it, but like a lot of other people have said, it's nothing amazing. The action sequences can be pretty decent, but a lot of the fights are way too choppy, and the acting fluctuates heavily between being really good and being awful. I do like seeing how they handle the various comic book characters, however.

It's also very clearly a WB show: basically every character in it is drop-dead gorgeous, and seem to spend a huge amount of time without their shirts on for basically no reason.

I tried watching it because my boyfriend is so into it, but it just made me seasick...
Seriously, couldn't they find a cameraman with two arms? The shakiness is just too distracting.

I feel exactly the same way as you do about Arrow.
I actually just got bored and quit watching it at the start of the second season.
Saying that though I don't and never have read comic books, so maybe the emotional attachment has something to do with that.

It was alright, but I got bored and stopped halfway through season 1. Much better than Marvel: Agents of B.O.R.I.N.G. though!

*Spoiler Warning*

I will be honest and admit I think this is a great show. I originally started watching due to the announcement that Deathstroke would be a major player and I have not been disappointed with him.My main reason for liking it is that it is just an enjoyable show were the villains (The overarching villians)actually manage to get a few wins over the hero e.g. Malcolm Merlyn actually destroying half the glades and Deathstroke killing important people to Arrow.

There is also the fact that it actually has a progressive character development when it comes to Green Arrow journey to a hero. He doesn't start of as one, he becomes one through development. Season 1 he is a soldier, season 2 he becomes more heroic and sets out his no kill policy but not without a few setbacks.

Does it have problems? Of course it does. It is heavily mired in being produced by the CW but it overcomes these short comings. A lot of the actors have grown into the roles (Stephan Amnell as most improved) with Manu Bennett being the best of the bunch but their are some weak lines, the woman playing Laurel the main one. It does also descend into cheesiness quite often.

However overall it is one of my current favorite shows currently airing on t.v but I understand it is not to everyone's taste but to me it is a show that is very enjoyable and good viewing. Honestly try watching it if its not to your taste that is unfortunate but try to perserve through some of the season 1's unevenness.

I was a bit skeptical at first after getting this TV show recommended by a friend. Until the half way point where it became on of my favorite list.

Season 2 is even better because of Manu Bennett's performance of Slade Wilson.

The only person I know who watches it, he also watches both NCIS shows religiously. I know nothing about it, but I assume its just a mediocre action show. Judging by the thread responses that seems to be the case.
