So, I was here a while ago and I notived a "Ask a Jew" Topic. There seems to be a "Ask a Pakistanese" as well. So I though "What the hell, I can do this". Since I guess most people outside this contry don't know much about it.

Questions will be answered to the fullest extent of my knowlege (living here for all these years and all that).

Ask away. What do you want to know?

Why is your currency pronounced "Rizz" when it looks like it should be pronounced "Rice"?
Its acctualy pronounced Réal (With an enfasis on the "Re") In english it means exactly what it seams: Real. It was suposed to be a currency with "real" value when it was invented, being worth 1:1 dollar at the time.

How do you feel about the ridiculous amount of poverty? I mean, seeing those Favelas dotteda round Rio is plain weird. Do the rich just ignore the poor?

How would you dance too Relexa senao nao encaixa?
It's easy. First you must get really, really drunk. Then lose some sanity. The rest comes naturaly.

Do you notice difference on the lifestyle of Brazilians over the last decade (since Lula claims his policies allowed 20% of the population to jump from below poverty line into the middle class).

Also, Brazil is a huge country full of culture and natural wonders. What is your favourite part of the country (apart from wherever you are from).

It's really not that different from anywere else. We all live in a class based system. Here It just is a bit harder to hide.

I myself live in a favela (funny to see foreneirs using this word). Of course, nothing like the Slums (Favelas) In Rio de Janeiro.

Brazil is a Country with imense social problems. And I do not blame foreing powers for most of that.

We live in a dumb democracy, where corruption is not an exception, but a dangerous rule. Some people try to do whats best, but are met with fierce resistence.

As a rule of thumb, wherever there is poverty. Here, in Africa or in the US, there is ALWAYS someone profting from it.

Edit: My favorite part is the city of Sao Paulo. The HUGE cauldron of culture and experiences. You could experience almost ALL of brazil and them some more, just in this one city. (Sorry I'm not much of a "Nature guy". But yes we have natural wonders that are just shoking. We here dont tend to preserve them as they should (then again others wouldn't either, not an excuse tough)

As in the people or the wax?
Well, the wax was invented by brasilian Women so, its kinda related. Funny how people out there seem to like mostly hairy women. A nice waxing is very higenic (if a tiny painfull they say)

There is a noticeble change in lifestyle. Yes. But it is not just becouse of Lula (whatever he may claim) but a change in how Brazil is perceived by foreign investors. Brazil is now a major consumer market in south america (the most stable and with the biggest population) Of course we had to increase the amout of people in the midle class (since they are responsible for rougthly 80% of any market)

So like I said. It always goes towards what is proftable. But yes, to SOME life has become easier to some extend. Rich will aways be Rich tough

How do you feel that your nationality is synonymous with a styling for pubic hair?

How do you feel about the idea that people probably associate the word brazilian with that more?

Does it make up for living with such beautiful weather?!
