Ok...so here's my dilemma...I have Assassin's Creed, and AssCree 2, but i don't have Brotherhood...I've played it, but didn't finish it...

I'm wantin' to get ahold of Screed Rev, but as i haven't beaten ScreedBro yet, i'm wonderin' if i should wait...y'see, i'm a continuity whore (meanin' that i am all about the story of a series, not necessarily the new "bells 'n' whistles" that come with a sequel by it's very definition)...But when i hear people talk about Brotherhood, they kinda breeze over it. Almost like it doesn't matter in th'main story so much as an excuse to add multiplayer...

Is that really th'case? Is there important plot that i'd lose if i jumped straight to Revelations? Or am i better off just waiting and getting Brotherhood? If that's th'case i feel like i'll never catch up at th'rate their goin' because these gorram games get a new one every year...just thought i'd ask...

Your world will be rocked if you don't play Brotherhood, BIG plot points that are constantly referred too in the opening of Revelations

Given the nature of the ending cliffhanger in Brotherhood, finishing that may be a good idea, though you could likely just find what you need on Youtube rather than bother with working through the whole game. I would definitely recap though.

I just can't wait for the 14th installment where you play as an assassin in a space colony killing space marine templars with a protoss blade. You know, when they finally get around to a new time period?

It does. A LOT. Particularly dealing with Ezio's transition from a kid out for revenge into a mature leader of the assassins, and a few rather important discoveries about the pieces of Eden and why Ezio's searching for them. I can't say much more without giving spoilers.

Both Brotherhood and Revelations are games that really really lean on players having already played the previous game (which is nice for returning players, because that gives more time to spend on new things and less spent on review, but it can make it confusing for newbies). About the only intro you get is a movie with a few clips that don't show very much of the context or what really happened at all.

Play Brotherhood first.

I'm really starting to get sick of Assassin's Creed. After playing Brotherhood I expected that in the next game they'd finally wrap up the story with Desmond, but no, another adventure with the same mechanics with a few things added, talley ho.
Yes, the story of Brotherhood is integral to the plot of the series, it has an even bigger cliff-hanger than Assassins-Creed 2. You could just get away with watching the ending on Youtube if you don't want to waste time replaying it though, the last hour or so is really all the point the game has.

Yeah, you're definitely going to want to finish Brotherhood before you play Revelations. Otherwise you'll more than likely be pretty confused about some of the more subtle details of what's going on and what happened.

It might actually be more important to the continuing storyline than Assassin's Creed 2 is. The second game is all about Ezio really, and following his development. Brotherhood has some of that, but the Templars have a bigger role and the series' MacGuffin makes an important appearance. Desmond's story actually moves a step too. It also shows the revival of the Assassins as an organization.
