So I recently got Assassin's Creed III for the PC and to my dismay I discovered that the dynamic lighting screws up people's hair when outdoors. This only happens in cutscenes. I've read that this probably happens because I have a Nvidia 250GTS GPU. I've looked in other forums and it seems that neither Ubisoft nor Nvidia seems to care. Is there some way to disable dynamic lighting or otherwise fix the issue?

Reinstall the redists? That's what I thought at first, your computer may not have all the DirectX DLLs to properly render the game. Could you give an in-depth explanation about what happens in AC3?

There's not much to describe really. A cutscene plays and the characters' hair starts looking like this:

It only happens outdoors for some reason though. I've poked around in the ini file to no avail. Another person recently suggested to change my GPU frequencies to 50%, haven't tried that yet.

I have the same problem but I haven't fixed it since I haven't got time to actually play it to bother. I thought it was pretty funny seeing them in disco hair, especially the part where they get pink hair and beard when getting out of the van.
