No, but I'd be interested in hearing about it. Particularly, can you be certain it's not just a form of lucid dreaming or self-hypnosis? Seems to me that you could become very rich very quickly if it's genuine.

what is it? up till now I only thought it was on Charmed, and not real just like unicorns. I don't mean to sound ignorant but could someone explain it to me?

A Hermit's Cave
To quote Robert Todd Carroll 'most evidence comes in the form of testimonials of those who claim to have experienced being out of their bodies when they may have been out of their minds'...

I remain... sceptical, if a tad more tactful...

The closest I've been is lucid dreaming in a completely silent environment... but even then... see above...

Heh, I think you are entitled to one (1) internet/s.

Says everything it needs to without risk of banhammering, or injuring your forehead and/or desk.

It's not real, just like Unicorns. But, just like religion, not everyone agrees on that. Either way, I wouldn't give it any credit until you see one of these people claiming they can do it cooperating with a scientific study and proving without a doubt that they actually can. In the meantime, I'll just be assuming it's akin to lucid dreaming mixed with just enough delusion to actually believe astral projection is what they're doing.

i've done it. it exists. i've never been able to manage to stay out very long or project very far. usually just a few feet in front of where my body is.

as for how... that's not easily explained, especially considering that i'm not even 100% sure how i managed it myself. but i feel that trying to explain it to someone who doesn't get it won't work. you either can or can't.

or Nosliw Pilf visits you in a dream, teaches you how to, and you teach your group of car jacking kids how to do it. but then in your arrogance, you challenge Nosliw Pilf to battle on the Astral Plane and lose, and lose your powers.

i don't expect anyone to know what i'm talking about right there. and i don't expect many of you to bother looking any further into what i've just said than reading the paragraph in front of you. but some of you will. and of those who do, even then only a still smaller group will appreciate what it is you've found. and for those people... life will never be the same.

i believe in a world of endless possibilities.

No, but I have a form of telepathy which can sense life and spiritual energy across dimensions, and repel malevolent supernatural presences. Unfortunately it's like a magnet for demons and other kinds of evil =/

No, you have not.

Otherwise, you'd have a millon dollars from the James Randy Edukational Fund. http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge.html

Have a grip on it? Man, it's practically all I do.

Besides post sarcastic comments, of course.

I don't believe astral projection is any more than a hallucination being blown out of proportion by people who are easily fooled into believing in things that aren't just supernatural, but outright insane.

Very interesting, when are you taking it to a science lab to have it verified? James Randi has a million dollars for you if you can do it in a controlled environment.

Er...wouldn't believing in anything that is supernatural be about as wrong and worthy of the term "delusion" (which is what I think you mean by "insane") as believing in anything else supernatural?

I find that believing in things like God are significantly less strange than believing in things like astral projection.

And yes, I did mean delusion, but I definitely didn't think of it at the moment.

i can provide a step by step of how to AP,

it is NOT a lucid dream.
it is NOT self hypnosis.
it is NOT a lie.

Respectfully, the dreamer usually thinks the first, and the liar usually says the last.

Saying that there is a way to do something that conflicts with all known science can be defensible, depending on the specifics.

Saying that there's an easy way to do it that anyone can learn, however...don't expect to be taken seriously.

I've tried it but I can't even meditate so, I guess I'm screwed out of anything like Astral Projection. According to Edgar Casey, it's a skill that anybody can develop but I had absolutely no luck with it.

Great scott! You wouldn't happen to be any relation to this guy?

On Topic, to the OP, this isn't really the forum to admit to having New Age or Mystic beliefs, you are about to get insulted into Narnia, although hilariously enough, vitually everyone on this forum believes at least partially that they do have some form of mild psychic ability to predict stuff
(there was a thread about supernatural abilities you may possess earlier this year, and it went on for several pages, virtually every person's post was along the lines of "I don't believe in psychics, but I have an uncanny ability to predict the time/the weather/where my cat is")

I shall give a psychic cookie to whoever can find me that thread.
