Atlas - Sea of Thieves done better?

Atlas looks amazing, I won't lie. It seems to be gearing up to deliver what Sea of Thieves couldn't. A proper MMO, ship to ship combat, diving for treasure, and a nice variety of monsters to fight and/or tame. Seemed pretty sweet... But it's made by the creators of Ark Survival Evolved. Ark has fallen off my radar since its initial popularity/infamy, but if Ark is anything to go buy, Atlas will be a buggy mess at launch. I hope I'm wrong, though, because this looks fun.

...but to answer your question, it looks nice, and more...complete, than Sea of Thieves I guess. On the other, as Lufia's pointed out, think there's a bit of controversy about it.

Basically it's an Ark asset flip that managed to have a worse launch than Ark did. 76% negative reviews on Steam, and I can't even find it on Steam's client now, not even through a search. What a fiasco.

Yeah I heard about that. Apparently if you plug in a controller you can scroll down in the options and start finding Ark survival options? Something like that? Like it even says Ark and the like

It lost me at the monsters. Just like Salt did, just like... that other proc-gen pirate game I can't remember the name of...

Seriously- pirates and the Spanish Main has so much going on already- are these people so bad at world-building they have to shove monsters in just to make something interesting? It's pathetic!
