Granted, the 60s (70s?) spy aesthetic isn't really my thing, but I, uh... I think I'll cope.
It is, however, 1000% my thing. Combined with that action sequence from that first trailer? Yup, I'm absolutely completely and totally on board. I can take or leave the "look at the sexay girl-on-girl action" but damn if I don't fancy seeing Charlize Theron kick major ass in an oldschool trenchcoat.

Choreography sure, but with scenes like this it comes across to me as showing off for the sake of it.
Sure is justified when there's plenty to show off though, which looks like it's the case. That shit looked amazingly brutal.

The problem with long sequences is that you can often tell it's choreographed, as the people along the side of the frame are obviously waiting for their setup for the next move.
It's riskier, that's true. It takes a lot more practice and skill from the performers. Though there's also some examples of more grounded long fighting takes, Oldboy's famous hallway scene comes to mind. I think Daredevil's stairwell scene felt very grounded in that regard as well. Actual long martial-arts takes feel a little different though. I mean, sure you know it's choreographed, but holy
shit that choreography. It's like ballet with bone breaking.
Oh and Jason Bourne movies? Yeah nah those aren't really spy movies, and are known for their shitty fight choreography (outside of the first one a bit). Real spy movies are a different breed entirely, even James Bond flicks aren't really spy movies.
