A suspicious RV in downtown Nashville exploded near 6 in the morning after giving a 15 minute warning that it would explode. It heavily damaged nearby buildings, mostly the ATT building it was parked in front of.

Personally I feel bad for the street.

Seems pretty clear too the person(s) responsible wanted no loss of life. Be interesting to see if they catch the person what they have to say. Alternatively if they don't catch them, are we going to see more of these as this seemed like a pretty sophisticated setup for someone to do to only do one of them.

Do wanna reiterate how weird this is. Historically this is something seen more with Weather Underground or the IRA, with the American Right or religious groups very rarely putting together a sophisticated warning system like this. That being said, such a group would also normally have included some hint toward their motivation in the recorded warning, which hasn’t occurred in this case. Generally very strange. Still, minimal harm done as a result (for a car bomb).

My first thought was disgruntled rural folk angry at ATT's monopolistic practices, but for whatever reason 5G nuts sailed right over my head until you mentioned it. But for whatever reason, this was aimed to do property damage and attempting to do property damage alone. Outside of a mixed up individual trying for some 5d chess mind games.

Why do you think it's from a right wing group?

I don’t? I was actually ruling out the normal right-wing groups, as they typically want to target people. Maybe some 5g or weird group, but it’s actually very unusual for a right wing or religious group to target property or symbolism over people.
Edit- I’d consider anti-lockdown types or sovcits, except it’s not by a government building.

The plurality (if not majority) of terrorist attacks within the United States are committed by right-wing extremists. The FBI considers domestic right-wing extremism a greater threat than domestic left-wing extremism and has since the 1990s.

edit: To be clear, I don't think there's evidence of who committed this attack or why. The above of purely generalities.

Why At&T, why not Comcast or Verizon???

I am guessing either a disgruntled employee or customer.

Honestly, the more I think about it the more likely that one sounds.

Sounds like someone got tired of AT&T dropping their calls and being in 5G dead-zones.

As someone forced to use AT&T by his work, sometimes I too wish to destroy their buildings.

Praiseworthy initiative, then?

I worked for a telecoms company long ago, and I remember some guy was furiously complaining over the phone over an outage including the choice phrase "The only reason I'm with you is BT are even worse".

It seems that the consensus is that, irrespective of motivation, the act of terrorism was justified.

Hmm. It's difficult to get angry about. Might have hurt some innocent cats though, maybe some squirrels.

How many other buildings were damaged? How many homes and businesses destroyed? How many people have lost irreplaceable possessions, how many people no longer have a place to work?

But hey, so long as some suit in a corporate building "feels the pain", who cares, right?

They found human remains at the site and they seem to believe that it was the bomber. At least as of now, they don't suspect more than this one guy was involved.

No, the closest actual building was an apartment complex. This is no 9/11, but it was bad.
