So the Australian High Court, in it's infinite wisdom, allowed a case to go ahead

(Time stamp 6.55)

A person who was being reported on in 2016 is suing news companiee about thier comment section saying its defamation and the news companies are publishers thus should be liable

Our High Court is allowing this to proceed, meaning that any company with a comment section might need to shut it down or moderate it more heavily. If they do moderate it and miss something, they will get punished still (this has happened before).

Thus Beep Boop will can lead to Court cases. It also means that if you say anything about me, I can sue you and The Escapist. Because my country doesn't understand Free Speech

The Escapist is based and incorporated in America, which I imagine would be a significant barrier to legal action in an Australian court.

Also wouldn’t the case be for Libel since a comment section is printed?
