In response to "authors you hate", I'd like for you to state authors that you actually like, good authors that nobody has ever heard of, or authors that you like but nobody else does.

J.R.R. Tolkien, a true literary pioneer.

George Orwell, for his masterful Animal Farm and 1984.

Nick Hornby, for High Fidelity, Slam, and many, many others.

Ben Elton for Blind Faith and The First Casualty.

Douglas Coupland for the wonderful, surreal Jpod.

I'm sure there's many I've missed out, but these are the ones that stick out.

I like Rick Rioridan(sp)

He wrote a series of children books called the percy jackson and the olimpions.

Its basicly what would happpen if the greek gods lived in modern times. Its hilarious and verry creative.

And i cant remember their name, but whoever wrote the edge chronicales.
