To put if frankly: What's the big flipping deal with this band?

I've heard some songs, and to be honest, I haven't been convinced. Yeah, like Afterlife, but I really can't name any other songs.

Convince me that this is the big deal everyone makes it out to be.

Personally, I find their old stuff (Waking the Fallen in particular) was their best, but you be the judge:
The new albums are far from bad, and I'd be hard-pressed to say that I regret owning them, but I liked the rawer sound that came with this CD.

I wasn't aware that they were a 'big deal'. I personally love them. The Rev was one of the greatest drummers of his time. I love their style, both old and new albums and just enjoy their music
I didn't know they were big enough to annoy people. Why do you care if people like A7X or not?

Don't be ridiculous, if you don't like a band, you don't like them, you don't need to explained to you, it's your opinion.

Honestly, they're just like every other band. People hate them, people like them, etc..

The only song I liked of them(though I haven't played Saints Row II recently, so I can't remember it) was Bat Country.

I gotta say, some of the songs shown are pretty good. I guess I'm not much of a heavy kind of music listener. I still don't understand why everyone says they're the best band ever, but they're not bad.

I don't like them either, but if you don't like them, you just don't like them. People like many different things.
I'd never try convincing someone to like a band that I like after they hear one/two (depending on how different the songs are) song(s).

He was a good drummer, but let's not make any rash statements.

OT: I've liked a few of their songs that have done the rotation on mtv2/kerrang/scuzz, but I've never been enticed to go out and get an album and listen through. I did briefly want to see them when Download came to the RDS in '06, but my mate took me to Stone Sour, which turned out to be a blast; a few thousand people crammed in a tent and the PA cranked so loud the bass drums physically pushed you back.

Personally I don't like them, but if you do like them, you do, you don't need an explanation.

Although they are probably one of the best sounding bands live.

Unlike some bands in their genre, the vocalist can actually sing, not just their music but any type and they are very versatile with their songs. Try listening to the song "Nightmare" which is a single off their new coming album or try "Nothing to Say" off of Slash's new self-titled album, which oddly enough sounds actually like A7X. I also think they're one of the most unique bands out there.

I enjoy A7X but I was unaware that they are a big deal too. As others have said, if you don't like them you don't like them. What's the big deal that you don't?
