I'm going to go out on a limb here and recommend System of a Down here; some people dispute them actually being metal but they're heavy and great to listen to. Metallica is a given, in my opinion, and perhaps they don't count but Gallows are freaking amazing (they're more hardcore punk than metal but they are so very awesome). Hope this helps

I promise I'll get the album asap! It's tough having enough money when Suicide Silence - The Black Crown is out on Monday and Spycatcher - Honesty is a must-buy as well! Too much music that must be had!
