Awkward Deaths

Has this happened to anyone? Someone who you've had vague connections with dies?
Well, maybe 3-4 years ago, I used to walk the dog of this woman, and I've only remembered her now. She died of Cancer very recently. I didn't know her that well, but I still feel impacted by it. Does anyone share a similar experience?

My orthodontist died of a sudden heart attack while I was in the process of having braces. Not while he was working on me, but during the same time frame. I didn't know the guy well, hard to talk when someones hands are in your mouth. But, anyways it was kind of weird to have to switch orthodontist mid braces due to a sudden death.

My old dog died of her peeing too much in the house and us hating her for it. I don't know how to classify a death under awkward. I'm not much help here.
