After 2 days of my friend telling me that The Amazing Spider-Man was the best movie of the year and I should watch it I finaly did and well I hated every bit of it, but it gave me an idea for this topic. What movie/s do you like that are considered bad or like because they are so bad?

For me it is Constantine. It was not the best movie (in any way) but I liked it.

And FYI, yes I know Spider-Man is not out on DVD yet. Yes my friend pirated it. I did not know and I slaped him round the head after he told me. I do not pirate things and was ignorent so mods please do not ban me.

Capatcha: Million dollars! But I did not do anything wrong their is no need to fine me! Besides I am English we don't use dollars we use real, proper money. i am being extorted by a machine.

1. Friday

This film was hilarious but nobody seemed to get it (nobody in my school anyway). What was there to get? It was Ice Cube & Chris Tucker smoking weed on a porch, the funniest on-screen dad I have ever seen and then some crazy fight scene which results in Ice Cube only getting a peck on the cheek and not a full on racy cut-scene.

2. Without a Paddle

This was just a turn off and suck it up film.
Three guys go searching for treasure in the woods and are being chased by a couple of bad guys. Shit jokes, bears, erection jokes and women who live in tree houses who are good with their feet. I love this film.

3. Batman Forever

I liked it.
I don't care if it had Bat Nipples, I don't care if Jim Carrey was being Jim Carrey and I don't care what a little ***** they made Dick Grayson; this film was enjoyable. I used to love the scene where Bruce Wayne went into that weird Riddler Booth and go on an adventure inside his mind.

It brings back fond memories of being a kid and sitting up at night to watch this with my two brothers.

Something like Drive Angry, perhaps? Or something from Robert Rodriguez like Planet Terror or Machete? I do love me some Doomsday and Van Helsing, too.

Oh, and The Happening. It's so funny.

Does Kung Pow: Enter The Fist and Army of Darkness count?

Because they're both kinda terrible but I love them so damn much.

OT: I've heard some people doesn't like Smokin' Aces. I love that movie.

Was going to say, but you said it.

OT: the expendables. For all of my expendables apologizing and such, it's still not a terribly great movie.

Don't do it, man! You're playing with forces more powerful and terrifying than you can possibly imagine! -_-

Beaten to it on the first post... yeah, it was kinda crappy, but an enjoyable ride nonetheless...

Ehm... what to add... the Adventures of Baron Munchhausen... people that I know, are still of the opinion it's shit, but it was very fun in a whimsical way.

Shoot'em Up is so gloriously bad, I can't help but love it.
I have seen Shoot 'Em Up twice now, and have not regretted it either time. So, so brilliant.

I'm a big fan of Streets of Fire, too. For all its bland characters, lack of an actual climax, and general suckiness, it's conceptually brilliant- The setting and cinematography are gorgeous, and the soundtrack is nothing short of amazing. However, the movie lacks the "They just didn't care" feel that its sister film The Warriors has, which sort of ruins some of the fun.
Oh how I appreciate your flawed beauty, Streets of Fire.

I absolutely loved the Wolverine movie when I saw it in the cinema. I just got completely blown away by every plot twist, loved the character cameos: Gambit! and Deadpool! (I knew just enough about Deadpool to know who he was and recognise him as an awesome character, but not enough to actually get how dreadful that rendition of him was.) and the love story that ran all the way through, but you knew it had to go sour because of the beginning of X-men 1, but right up to the end they were teasing you with them walking away in the sunset, and I was literally holding my breath terrified about what would happen, and then Strikers gun comes up and I nearly died.

That movie just completely sucked me in when I saw it, in a way that I've only experienced so intensely with the Shawshank Redemption. I know it's a pretty mediocre movie, but that first viewing was magical.

That was on the TV the other day. I caught half a scene before my dad turned it over, but some guy had steam coming out of his ears and Eric Idle was in it going mental. I'll have to check it out, looked quite Pythonesque. Hmm.

Ya know what movies get panned and looked down on and, are generally not liked if not outright hated? Schumaker's Batman movies, Ghost Rider and, Punisher: War Zone. Ya know what movies I genuinely like, enjoy and, love in that order? Those three...four movies!

Sometimes I feel like the only person who will admit to still liking Holy Grail. Sure, everyone liked Holy Grail but I like it to the point that I would watch it if asked.

There is one scene in that film I crack up to every damn time.

When they fall in the hole and one of them starts singing "do you really want to hurt me" and the guys chasing them appear at the top singing "yes we really want to hurt you"....

Every damn time that has me in stitches. I find it far more amusing than it actually is.

On Topic....

Cheesy B movies are my weakness, I love them.

Sharktopus I watched a few days ago and enjoyed it.

Troll 2. It's goblin spelled backwards!
Why in gods name did I look at Troll 2 to see if it spelt Goblin backwards... Jesus christ thats a low point in my life... What was I expecting? Why did I glance over to see? This is why I hate people.

Is Galaxy Quest considered a bad movie? In which case, I love it though I don't personally consider it bad, perhaps just misunderstood.

I can't think of a movie I know is bad yet still enjoy, though their will be one.

Independence Day (1996)

I enjoyed that movie even though I've heard others say it was pretty bad. The script may not have been perfect, but I enjoyed the performances of most the actors and execution of several memorable scenes.

All I can think of are the Pokemon movies and maybe some of the Bionicle ones, but I don't think those count...

Maybe the closest thing I can think of is Final Fantasy: Advent Children. It's offensive to your intellect in that particular way corporate outgrowths are - you know, where somehow canon is slavishly followed and referenced and yet simultaneously all prior events are completely ignored. Which I can tell be relatively familiar with FF7 and not an FF fan at all.

But then the next day I was like, "I kinda want to watch Advent Children". I resisted the impulse, but someday it will overpower me...

Independence Day has Full Metal Jacket Syndrome. Great first half.

My favorite film is "Vampire's Kiss". As in, I'd sooner watch Vampire's Kiss before Citizen Kane, The Dark Knight, Shawshank Redemption or any other "nigh-perfect" movie.

My friends tell me the movie is awful.

...I'm not seeing it.

Off the top of my head, I like the Mario Brothers movie and Green Hornet and I can't defend either as "good".
