wich series do you prefer?

For me it is Band of Brothers, altought The Pacific is still on is way to end there are not enough episodes left to reach the level that BoB reached

I even fell asleep watching the Pacific wich never happened on BoB!

i can see the main characters of this episodes get injured or even dead without feeling bad or even a little bit sad...wich ever happened on BoB

i dunno something is missing on this new entry of WW2 series from Spielberg and Tom Hanks

what are your thoughts?

Will it include on the nuclear bombs on the final episode? hmmm *American* inspired as it is i really dont know...this was for me the worst mistake on American history

P.S: i still think The Pacific is awesome ^^

I haven't seen The Pacific cause I found Band of Brothers a bit unentertaining =/. I like action comedy. That's really the only kind of movie I truly like. Cause they make me laugh and excited at the same time. No other movies or series keep me interested like that =3.

I've never really watched either all that much, but Band of Brothers has more charismatic actors.

I've never really liked either, they've always been a bit stereotyped to me. Strange, especially for true stories, but I've never liked them from a story perspective. Action's good though.

Out of the two, I like Band Of Brothers more.
i understand you on the stereotyped thingy ^^ Americans reached and ruled all! no help from anyone no allies no nothing :S

Some of the episodes of The Pacific is pure gold IMO, but the series will never reach hte same level as BoB.

the one i like the best doesnt even have war it was Part III, they developed some of the characters and how they behaved after having put through hell. and btw i never knew they slept on the field of a stadium cool stuff ^^

Band of Brothers is amazing because you get much more connected to the characters. In the Pacific they go to war in the first episode. But with BoB you're with them during their training and you feel much more immersed.

The Pacific is still good though, watched all 5 parts in one sitting yesterday.

Band of Brothers is excellent, good characters and story. Up to this point, The Pacific just ain't doing it for me. Finding it hard to care about any of the characters and all the battle scenes feel the same.

I loved Band of Brothers. I bought the box set after it came out and I'm going to watch Pacific on Tv and probably buy it when the box set comes out. It's airing here in Aus on Channel 7 tomorrow at 7:30pm

Both The Pacific and Generation Kill are sub par to BoB purely due to characterisation.

If you can't affiliate or empathise with a character then you don't care if they get hurt (physically and emotionally), if you don't care there's no tension, if there's no tension there's no drama.

A scene can be dramatic (i.e Action) but can be lacking tension if people you couldn't care less about are being blown to bits, but if someone you care about gets say, a badly hurt foot... it changes everything

"Remember boys! Flies spread disease, keep yours closed!" XD

Band of Brothers, without a doubt is better. Just had more to love. Too many times Pacific has tried to go the whole "dramatic and meaningful" for an entire episode

I haven't gotten to see The Pacific as it hasn't been released in Norway yet... Can't wait for it though, as I lost count of how many times I've seen the whole Band of Brothers series!
