i know its a very hit or miss idea, but wouldnt it be really awesome to make the next batman arkham game a batman beyond adaptation? Imagine the possibilities, granted its not really main stream and the villains are somewhat lacking, but they can make new ones. They got people from the animated series for the other games, this one would be awesome if the tried it. It could also be a story about how Terry deals with being the dark knight after bruce dies or something,(Terry McGinis is the Batman of the future). I would like to here the general consensus of the idea.

Sounds cool. Plenty of options for new gadgets, plus Batman with jetpacks. I haven't seen much of Batman Beyond, the only thing that I really remember was The Return of Joker movie, which was quite excellent.

Honestly? I think it's a pretty bad idea, for exactly the reason you've already stated - it's not mainstream, it didn't last long enough to create any really lasting memories or a large fanbase, and it has a pathetically small rogue's gallery.

Arkham Asylum and City have both made excellent use of the standard Batman universe, and the end of City left open a very wide door for a continuation of that series.

Also, and this is my personal opinion, I just didn't think Batman Beyond was very good.

Terry was extremely lacking as Batman, in my opinion, coming across as entirely, entirely too much like a blatant Spider-Man ripoff.

The suit was pretty cool and the setting was an interesting idea, but I just do not think it's strong enough at all to supplant the already well-established, critically and commercially successful Arkham series.

Why not make a batman returns video-game while we are at it?And then we get Jim Carry to actually play the riddler.

I think its a good idea....

Dear god no. I hate Batman Beyond. There is only one true caped crusader, and it's ain't a kid with a goofy name like Terrance. It sounds like a piece of furniture.

I would love the idea, but the Amanda Waller retcon kinda soured me on BB. Also the fact that Terry has no compulsions about letting his criminals die weighs heavily on his rogues gallery.

Any sequel will have to be without the joker since the man who voices him has retired. I'd love a game NOT centered around the joker (my apologies if Arkham City wasn't I have yet to play through it past the intro part, I had it on PC, decided it would be more enjoyable with a controller on my xbox, and traded it off.) Bring in Riddler, Freeze, Bane, etc.

Game would be much too easy considering the Arkham games are stealth based and the Batman Beyond batsuit TURNS INVISIBLE.

I actually thought of this myself, and I'm for it.

I'm of the opinion that Batman Beyond was not only a great sequel to the Batman Animated Series, but a fantastic series in it's own right. I'd have no qualms about it being a sequel to this series, as well.

As some have pointed out, Batman Beyond doesn't have quite as many recurring baddies as Batman classic, but in a game, he wouldn't really NEED to. All he'd need is about 5 or so (and I can think of at least 4 right this second without trying: Blight, Inque, Shriek, and Stalker), and that'd be enough to carry the boss fights. The Jokerz would make good small-fry baddies, and New Gotham presents all kinds of interesting ideas for level construction.

Not only that, but Batman Beyond has more than his fair share of gadgets, which lends itself nicely with the Arkham formula. If this turns out to be where the Arkham games are going, I'm definitely sticking with the series.

Sorry ive bin out of this for so long, funny enough i just watched a Batman Beyond episode. Anyway, I had the idea for the stealth, and if you watch the show you would see that he isn't invisible while moving heavily, plus a guage would always suffice to limit this capability. As for villains, i thought this would be a great way for the Batman team to flex their creative muscles and get creative. Batman Beyond isnt just a future Batman fighting futuristic versions of Bruce's rouge gallery, a villain like curare is perfect for this game (look her up on the dc wiki). New gotham doesnt even have to be the setting, it can be whatever Arkham has become in new gotham. Its not perfect, but its a prospect.
