Hello Escapist!

I'm planning on buying Battlefield 3, but I'm kinda worried that my desktop won't be able to run it. My only real issues are CPU and my graphics card.

Processor = Intel Core i5 (processor 650)
Graphics card = ATI Radeon (HD5570 1024MB)

If you could share your knowledge on the subject I'd be very appreciative.

Here's a picture of a pony for you:

Scroll to Battlefield 3, click "Can You Run It?"

Wait, and you'll have your answer :)

Your cpu should be fine, but you might want to consider a video card upgrade. How much would you be willing to spend?

ppffffft. My HD4800 has half of his memory,and I ran it just fine. He isn't asking to play it at the very highest, he just wants to "run it", you can play on Medium too you know.

I have a I5 650 processor too, but I have a HD 6870 instead.

I was able to run Battlefield 3 smoothly on medium, on Caspian Border.

It still looks fantastic on medium however, and much better looking than the PS3 version.

I think it will run, but a check at canyourunit should be in order. Of course if you are still running XP then no you can't run it.
