Since there wasn't a a thread yet, just thought I'd toss out that the Battlefield series is on sale today on Origin. $10 for reach, since it's the 10th anniversary.

Note: Do not use this thread to hate on EA/Origin. If you do, you're the worst kind of jackhole, who doesn't understand the world, and needs a slap in the face.

Wow thanks op, I had actually been wanting Battlefield 3 for a while. Hopefully we'll see more of this so I have a reason to use Origin.

I was pretty shocked Battlefield 3 was included. But yeah, no problem. My roommate told me about it, so I figured I'd share with the world.

Please, please try to explain how informing people of a sale on Origin is offensive content, without some ridiculous bias against a type of DRM, while you openly use another kind.

"MY DRM BETTER THAN U KIND"

It has nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing. I presented information and you want to ***** and whine about the fact that I'm giving people information? Really?

"Battlefield sale", I read. Hurriedly I clicked the topic and launched Steam. Alt-tabbed back in here and read "on Origin".

Then I read this:

Oh look, it's that stereotype "present highly offensive content and pre-emptively shutdown disagreeing opinions" guy.

Actually it would be to prevent the EA hate train from rolling in here and sending the thread off topic, which you are currently doing.

Good to see Origin following in its competitor's footsteps--might be EA can get me to use it yet.

Let's be honest here, you can't blame anyone but yourself for leaping onto Steam assuming it was there without even finishing reading the thread title. Associating the word 'sale' with 'steam' is hardly something you can blame the OP for.

Not in the UK, apparently. Shame, i guess.
I'm guessing this is an US only sale.

What a shame.

I just about had tears of laughter by the end of that. That just made my day!

This can't be true at all, EA would never and I mean never devalue a franchise with such cheap sales, that goes against everything they believe in.

Yeah, noticed this in an email today. Though I think it might have been $20 each here in Aus, but I'll check later.

I would purchase 2142, the one BF game I don't own myself, but I'm short on online money ATM so I'll have to pass.

For such a cheap price it's certainly worth getting, still my favorite game to just go on with friends even after all this time.

After a dozen or so very unhelpful chats and mail exchanges with EA staff, I believe I'd have to move to an English-speaking country to make proper use of Origin. That's that from me, t'a.

"Note: Do not use this thread to hate on EA/Origin. If you do, you're the worst kind of jackhole, who doesn't understand the world, and needs a slap in the face." Huh? I sort of get that you're trying to keep on topic, but when the words "Origin" and "sale" come up in one sentence, it's pretty much impossible to not "hate on" EA/Origin. It wasn't so long ago that EA was trying to defame Steam by claiming that games sales cheapen intellectual property. This is yet another clear sign of hypocrisy on EA's part...

Damnit, since I rarely start up the Origin client just to check out what's on sale this one must've slipped straight past me. Can't check it out until I get home, although I'm unsure if there's anything worth getting that I don't already have. I'm only missing BF: Vietnam and some of the BF2 DLC. Now if only they could lower their price on Premium...
