So some features have been revealed about the apparent sequel to the Meh fest Battlefront.

Such features include:
A story
Maps
Multiple Eras of Star Wars lore, that unfortunately will include Force Awakens
Probably space battles at launch, but who knows?

With this and Titanfall 2, I gotta ask, what the fuck was with the feature length demos they released at full price?! Multiplayer only, at $60?! When was it ever discussed that the single player campaign needed to be cut? And to have so much DLC and a lackluster amount of features at launch...

Well here's hoping the Battlefront 2 campaign will be longer than the Titanfall 2 one.

Sounds like a nice step but unless we get back to an actual class system and a vehicle system that isn't hot garbarge it still won't be any good.

I knew they were going to pull shit like this. I suppose they expect us to be grateful now? Yeah no, this is what their first Battlefront game should have had in the first place. You won't be getting any gold stars from me. I'll stick to the twelve-year-old version that has these features and more, thank you very much.

Already played it, the campaign is good but the player count could always be bigger. 64 isn't much on the big space battle maps.

Well that actually sounds like an interesting concept. The first one was rather underwhelming, although I did play it because my parents got it for me for Christmas and there was no way in hell I was raising a stink about it when it was a freaking Christmas present.

Battlefront 2? How? When?
I think he means the original PS2 version.

Anyway, I for one am glad to hear this. I enjoy the original for what it is, but I fully admit that it is NOT worth the original sixty dollars, and that season pass price point was horrible as well.

But to me, the biggest letdown (and there are plenty of them) is that fact that you can SEE hints of single player in the game. The missions have little cutscenes in them. That speeder bike chase one is a blast to play, but horribly short. The survival missions all have set ups for why you are where you are. The tutorial felt like the first level of a game. They had the tools, they had the ability, they just didn't use any of it.

2005 Battlefront 2. PC version has a mode called XL which throws about three hundred bots onscreen at once.

I wish the PC version had controller support. Its so hard to do 3rd person with mouse/keyboard, and the first person makes it impossible to dodge!
Damn you Steam!

I'm interested.. but I wasted $60 on the first Battlefront and they really need to prove to me that I should buy another.

I'm a big Star Wars fan though, so I may just wait for a price drop

That's great and all, but what about the gameplay itself? Hoping for some actually coherent battles this time around.

Meh... The last Battlefront was one of my worst purchases on games of last year (and I bought No Man's Sky). The online was pretty much dead a few weeks after release and only a handful of modes were being played. The vanilla game was as barebones as they can be, it had a ton of paid DLC, but nothing of consequence.
