We all know the common boring stuff of life, and that stuff can go wrong and you can fuck up.

This thread however is to celebrate the stuff that did go right and stuff you did that makes you proud of yourself

Today I signed up for volunteer work at an old folks' home, yay me :)

What did you do today/lately/sometime?

got my friend a date and saved someone from a fire all in one week
Well, damn. I don't think I can really top that.

The most recent thing I did was make sure a lot elderly and handicapped people get to celebrate Christmas with their family/loved ones(it's my job, I take orders from them and book trips in taxis and minibusses, wherever they want to go.)

I gave my sister $6,000 so she could finish off all the small things they have been putting off for a couple of years on the house her and her husband built mostly on their own (and by her and her husband I mean mostly her husband). That's what a nice guy I am, she lives about 30 minutes away from me and this was the first time I have seen them in oh about eight months. It takes me 45 minutes to get to my shop in Tacoma. I think I mostly gave to them because I felt bad about never visiting.

Either you didn't understand the point of the thread, or well... I mean common that can't be the only thing you have done recently that you are proud of.

I took the time to help some people whose cars got stuck in snow in the frozen wastelands of northern England. On my way into town, and into work, I helped push these people from their icy trap and set them on their way. Oh, and speaking of work, I'm proud of my dedication, in that I managed to make it to work through the snow on Wednesday evening when everyone else in my section, aside from my manager, had to stay home because they were snowed in... :)

Today I spent my hour lunch listening to my friend whinge and whine about pretty much everything she hates about her job, without once snapping. I was actually helpful for once :)

Currently doing my best to salvage my university project from the wretched husk of incompetence that was my cinematographer. Who is such a useless **** he couldn't be bothered to go to a location I'd booked and shoot a scene with actors I'd arranged for it.

And instead has tasked me and my sound guy with throwing his shitty "backup" plan together in post to an acceptable level before midnight.

Wait, proud, less rage?

I'm currently attempting to make a horrible pile of mess look presentable enough for a pass through the best damn editing and visual effects skills I can muster.
