So what are peoples favourite beer/game combinations?

Mine would have to be Guinness Draft and COD:WAW at the minute. Nothing like blowing people to bits and watching your accuracy slip away as the night wears on.

Beer + the escapist = right now.
GEEEEEEELOOOOOOOOOOOOONG.

Also CS becomes that much better. Yelling at team flashers.

I don't really like to drink when I'm playing games because it throws my coordination way off and I end up getting frustrated.

I don't really drink much, but I find that stimulants (no I don't do meth, I'm prescribed Adderall) and FPSs go quite well together.

You get the obnoxious confidence boost except without the loss of accuracy!

YES! CS + Intoxication = Epic Victory

I've started to check my server history and ask the regs. if they remember me from a "crazy night".

I usually get great comments. Usually about singing badly.

It does make things a lot more blurry after a point. Although sometimes I find you get into a zone where you can't miss. Other times nades seem to flock to you like exploding seagulls of death. With shrapnel feathers.

I prefer mostly micro brews (any pretentious gamer MUST have a favorite small run beer. You can not be pretentious without one). I would name some, but I am way too pretentious and condescending to think that any of you would have heard of them.

I live in New England, US so I am very partial to Sam Adams Boston Lager while playing Civilization 4. I find that generally turn based strategy is the genre most conducive to drinking.

Alcohol mixes well with all party game for obvious reasons. It probably messes up the motoric skills needed for action games, though I usually don`t even try those while intoxicated (don`t like them that much anyway).

RPGs, however, gain a lot in terms of immersion once you immerse yourself in the Golden Drink of Gods. Speaking of which, since I have the prerequisite in my belly, I think it`s Jade Empire time. Oh yeah.

My friends and I made a particular good drinking game for dead rising. You get a certain store in the mall to defend, you have to defend it for 20 minutes, but you have special zombies you can?t kill marked by: one with a bucket on it head (one drink) one with a Lego/servebot head on it head (2 drinks) and one all shot up with the megabuster (3 drinks) reload after each person?s turn if you die two drinks survive and be careful its easy at first but after a while your judgement goes down and so does the booze supply. I had the hardware store so I was set for life.

Usually at my friends or Bro's place we have GOW (beers at War) parties in which I can just cane everyone at shotgun duels and they have to keep drinking everytime they die. Sure I drink too but not smashed off my face drunk like them. lol

Guitar Hero is fun to do also!
