What Addons do you think were worth every penny you payed for it and maybe even more. My votes go to shivering isles for being a huge expansion centered around a cool, wacky character and general knoxx for adding for all the new items and crawmerax.

All the Borderlands DLC minus Mad Moxxi's were good value for money. I found Broken Steel, Point Lookout and The Pitt from Fallout 3 to be worthwhile. Raam's Shadow from Gears of War 3 was another good one. Lair of the Shadow Broker from Mass Effect 2 was well worth the price considering it's quality. I may cop some flak for this but the premium content (so far) from Battlefield 3 was all of exceptionally good quality and worth the price. Lastly I'd say the episodes from liberty city from GTA IV. They were incredibly good.

Artorias of the Abyss was a great add-on to Dark Souls(it's actually the only DLC I've really bought and downloaded).

So that.

Old world Blues and Lonesome road are both grate. I relay like Lonesome road's ending. That guy just has an epic voice.

Mask of the Betrayer for Neverwinter Nights 2 was easily the highpoint for the entire series in terms of singleplayer content and contained one of the most unique stories to grace the rpg genre in years, despite only being an expansion.

All the continued DLC and support for Crusader Kings 2 has also been fantastic and it's one of very few games... actually it's pretty much the only game I've ever owned where I've purchased nearly every piece of DLC available with the intent of buying more. Solid additions at a reasonable price, regularly on sale, that add new mechanics to an already fantastic experience.

Hmm... what else? Well Throne of Bhall for Baldur's Gate 2 was big enough it was practically Baldur's Gate 3, indeed at one point that's exactly what it was intended to be. Otheriwse the Shadow Broker DLC for Mass Effect 2 is probably one of my favourite missions from the Mass Effect series. Good pacing, music, gameplay, and even good characterization in that it managed to make me give a shit about Liara who up until that point I'd rather disliked. Full credit to Bioware, that was a great piece of content. Now if only they could deliver more content of that quality.

All the DLC I own was worth every penny (the only DLC I own coming in GOTY or Ultimate Editions I got incredibly cheap).

I don't buy DLC on it's own.

But my favourite piece of DLC from the editions I have is Old World Blues. It makes me giggle everytime.

I would agree with shivering isles but also say that pretty much all of the GTA IV episodes gave incredibly good value for money if you enjoyed the game.

The expansion pack to The Binding of Isaac added another 20-30 hours to a game that already had a huge amount of content. Plus I got it for like a buck on Steam. I'd say I got value out of that purchase

I miss Neverwinter Nights so badly. I wish they'd make number 3. :(

Tribunal and Bloodmoon for Morrowind were really good. It's cool you get to go back to Solstheim in the new Skyrim stuff.

Damn, ninja'd. That's such a great expansion and integrates into the game really well.

Another addon that I'd consider would be Shivering Isles, but that's overstated.

in the elder scrolls novel ''lord of souls'' a few of the main characters travel to Solstheim, i wonder if my imagination is correct on the looks of the place.

Artorias of the Abyss integrated well with the game because a lot of it was actually cut content. :x

I'd add the other Vegas expansions too. While Dead Money was a pain in the ass on hardcore, the atmosphere was rather epic, and the loot was awesome. I also highly rate Honest Hearts, as I got Vegas partly for the western elements, having a bit with "natives" was great.

That's something I didn't know. And I think that it's built in with Patch 1.06, but you bought the pass to activate it. Bit like "on patch DRM" (kinda?), but it's such a good expansion that I'm willing to overlook that.

If you play the Bloodmoon expansion I mentioned for Morrowind, you'll be able to see for yourself.

Well, a lot of it was already in the game itself, just incomplete. So they completed the data with Patch 1.06 and bam, you've got the DLC. But yeah, the dlc you actually buy from the PSN or Xbox store is actually an unlock code.

Old World Blues and Shivering Isles are both excellent. For sheer premise, Dead Money is brilliant; the greatest gold heist of all time, within an ancient casino in a post apocalyptic world. Shame the execution was lacking. Best add on of all time though was Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty. That was a game from a time where men were real men, and real add ons came on a separate disk.

Shivering Isles for Oblivion, absolutely brilliant and better than the core game itself.

Broken Steel and Operation Anchorage for Fallout 3 were well worth their money too.

Wrath of the Lich King for WoW was one of the better expansions for any game. Just about worth its price, which is good because hardly any DLCs or Expansions any more are worth their price.

Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch was good too. Bit dated now but ahh well.

Unreal Tournament 2004, if you already owned UT03, was a good "addon". It was more like a vastly superior replacement with a tonne more stuff because EPIC took 2003 back into development immediately after launch, where they worked on it for a further year until they released it again as UT2004. It's not a sequel so much as it's a successor, and 95% of UT03 is in UT04, not to mention UT2004 is (I would say) nearly twice the size again.

I'm sure there's others I've owned/encountered that I've forgotten.

Well, the tenner extra for BF3 Premium over BF3 normal is worth every penny. Not least because it avoids shelling out for ALL the expansions separately and means you have a nice game to play with.

Other Stuff:

Tribunal/Blood Moon for Morrowind, it's about another 100 hours onto the game, they just don't make them like they used to.

Mods are the best add-ons though.
Living Legends for Crysis.
AIX and Project Reality for BF2 (especially AIX for hilariously over the top moments).
STALKER: Oblivion lost

All free as well!
