While recently playing 'Batman: Arkham City' I began to think about how poorly a lot of mysteries are handled in games. The first one that came to mind for me was the "Spirit of Arkham" bullocks from the first Arkham game. After hearing the first few recordings I immediately knew that Quincy Sharp was the Spirit of Arkham and all of the mystery got sucked away for me.
I was also a little miffed at the fact that Rocksteady decided that they even needed Amadeus Arkham's spirit to be living on somehow. I was really into the whole "Learning the history of Arkham" thing but then it started talking about Joker and Poison Ivy and I was like "meh.". My problem was that we, as Batman fans, already knew all of these stories, we knew about Joker and Ivy and Croc, but the history of Arkham was completely new territory and I was really intrigued.
So what are some in game mysteries that you think were either good or bad? I'm curious to find out if other people have had similar experiences to this one or if I'm just crazy...
