What anime villains do you think had the best death? Spoilers, obviously.

From part 2 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Kar's banishment. Okay, not exactly a death but it still counts. Being launched into space by a volcano, propelled by your foe's amputated hand? While the awesome theme song from the first series plays. AWESOME.

This is probably in a lot of peoples' minds as a great anime villian death, but you just can't beat this classic from Dragon Ball Z.

When I was watching this I was yelling "Die, *****! Die!" over and over...

I think the anti-spirals from TTGL had a great death, even in defeat his final words were to ask the heroes to continue to protect the universe from the idiocy of the power-mad spiral races as he did.

Truly, the anti-spirals were the true good guys.

Also his death is proceeded by one of the best fight scenes in anime history just to make it even better.

(couldn't find a subbed version sorry)

Seconded Cell's death. Not a huge Anime glutton here, but Bleach had some pretty good ones for the Espada IRC. And while their master didn't really 'die', odds are we probably won't see him again after this happens:

I'll have to go with Cars defeat from JoJo's Bizzare Adventure.

Sometimes the coolest victories over evil don't involve killing the bad guy at all.

Yeah, Cell definitely takes the cake. That said, this little gem holds a special place in my heart:

Is it fair to call her the villain? I don't know, but that was a great finale (to an otherwise average film).

Oh god, so much of this.

From the same show:

Even though it made me sad it was a hell of a way to go.

I'll suggest Vash killing Legato in Trigun, not because it was tremendously choreographed or anything, but because of the personal conflict it required. One of the best Catch-22s I've seen; for once, the clichéd "Even if you kill me, I've won!" made perfect sense, because that was the whole point. I think it sticks with me because it hinged on character, not action.

The music just makes the scene for me. Chills man, chills...

"GEMMA, BURN IN YOUR GOLDEN HELL!!!"

Ninja Scroll had a lot of terrific villain deaths. Gemma takes the cake, closely followed by Tessai.

Ulquiorra and Starrk's deaths from Bleach stand out. Non-traditional choice, I know, but it made me sob like a schoolgirl when both happened.

Also, Kimblee's death from the FMA manga/brotherhood. Not the first one, the second one, where he goes out like a boss after sabotaging Pride.

King Hamdo's Death in Now and Then,Here and There.

He slowly dies(either by explosion or drowning,I can't remember which right now)while his formarly loyal second in command lets it happen, finally able to see him for what he truly is and finally able to break the cycle of abuse.

I know it's not technically in the anime yet, but it's coming up pretty soon.

Neferpitou from Hunter x Hunter.

Gon uses nen to forcibly age himself just to be able to kill Pitou. He kicks him in the back so hard it breaks his spine, sends him flying straight up, then charges all his nen into his fist. Then as Pitou falls, Gon punches him so hard it rips his lower jaw off and sends him flying over a mile through dense forest, crashing and destroying everything along the way and ripping off his leg in the process.

AND THEN Gon goes over to his body and keeps punching his head until it's a bloody pulp.

AND THEN Pitou uses a last ditch effort technique to try and kill Gon from beyond the grave, severing Gon's arm. Gon takes the arm, punches it through Pitou's chest, then detonates it.

Will admit, the scene made me so gloriously happy I almost started to feel like a psychopath for enjoying that death so much. Then again, Pitou is a creepy evil mofo.

Well, Hokuto no Ken certainly had some of the greatest deaths, and Raoh's made an inconceivably huge impact on shounenmanga/anime.

Admittedly, I did not watch DBZ, but that scene of Gohan killing Cell seems to be one of the most absurd things I've seen in a show.

Hmn. . . best anime villain death? Ooh, how about when Ms. Balalaika kills off Hansel und Gretel in Black Lagoon.
