What is the best box art you have ever seen?
And was it good enough to get you to buy the game?

Wasn't good enough to buy the game, bought it because I was a fan of the series. The game was Epic and now sits like royalty in my S-Ranked pile. (Rank games X-S-A-B-C-D-F, No games in X rank yet.)

Probably Civilisation 5. That is one sexy case. It represents the eras in the game in an exciting way but remains organised eneuph to still look good.

Close seconds are Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Demon's Souls (US or J)

In all honestly, Phalanx has a simple charm to it. Of course, that charm is just absurdly stupid but it kinda grows on you. In all seriousness, I love System Shock 2's box art. The simple imagery of space contrasted with the floating ship and face of SHODAN just bleeds style. Damn, that's just sexy! Oooh, and Gabriel Knight 2 has really nice box art, also.

But box art is never enough to sell a game to me. This is the 21st century! I have mes the interwebs to make sure it's good enough!!!

mine (sorry for obvious answer) but Shadow of the colossus collectors edition
i'm not sure if the normal version has the same box art
or if america got a different box art to europe
BUT the version i have has quite a simple yet epic looking still of a hulking colossus

It deserves to be framed and hung in a prestigious art gallery! While I don't like the game it's self the art work on the inside cover is amazing!
