Now I am a huge fan of Bioware's games, but I'm not limiting this discussion to just those. It can be any game whether you can branch off to different paths through choices you make.

Me personally, Jade Empire was one of my favorites. But I think InFamous was the best. (And I don't even own a PS3.)

It's always a black or white choice. There's very little grey area in these types of games. Bioware does tend to do it quite well though.

Actually I am finding alot less B & W choices in DA:O than most games. There has been a number of occasions that I think I am making the right choice that turns out to have the opposite effect than I was looking for.

Infamous though? I mean they tell you which missions are good or evil as well as which choices. I mean the game actually spells it out for you. It seems to be hardly a choose your path game and just be good or bad. I don't know why they just don't ask you at the beginning and get it over with since there isn't much freedom to stray since your skills are tied to your karma. Unless you enjoy broken characters.

The only game I've come across with a decent storyline for the "grey middle area" is the Witcher, for it's all flaws it had a good story, and the choices you made actually had an impact on the game.

it's gotta be Knights of the Old Republic - was absolutely fantastic and the story was the best the franchise has offered in years!

Planescape Torment. Old school game, but the gameplay is just so different depending on what of character you decide to build. A combat character with little intellegence and wisdom is a very drastic change to a spell caster or a stealth character. That and you can always choose good, neutral and evil routes.

KOTORII is the only one I have played, and I found it overall enjoyable.

That is, until I played Mass Effect.

Such an amazing game.

Best I've played was Knights of the Old Republic, also a BioWare game.

There wasn't any deviation story-wise except for the ending whether you chose to be a Jedi or an asshole. But it was a great game, and I miss my XBox now. /cry

Dragon Age: Origins, it doesn't have just the good, bad, and neutral choices of Mass Effect, things can make one person like you while that same thing makes someone hate you. A lot of gray in my opinion.

Ya, that happens to me all the time in DA:O and I'm like 8 hours in.

I really like DA:O. You could be evil, but you were still doing it for the greater good.
