Best concert ever

I'm wondering what is the best/coolest concert you've ever seen? For me it was Iron Maiden on the Somewhere Back In Time '08. The stage show alone would of made Michael Bay soil himself.

Well, I've only been to one concert, and that was *puts up flame shield* Avenged Sevenfold about a year ago.

I have to say, it was one of the best nights of my life, and I'd love to do it again.

Think my best one was Megadeth at UEA in Norwich, 07. But might be overtaken as going to see Trivium and Chimaira in London in March!

It's a toss up between The Pixies, and Queens of the Stoneage...they were both excellent.

I saw an amazing Queen tribute band a few years ago instead of going to my senior prom. It was really great.

Hmm... I'd say a tie between Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy and Star Wars in Concert. Both showcased some of the greatest symphonic music ever composed, and much of the music carries absurd amounts of emotion and/or intensity. One-Winged Angel and Duel of the Fates in concert. I mean, come on.

I know, I'm a nerd.

My favourite was Lahannya in Satan's Hollow (Manchester). Wonderful venue and kick-arse bands.

I agree, that tour kicked ass, saw them in Trondheim, Norway and it was awesome. By the way Avenged Sevenfold warmed up and they were really good, then Maiden entered the stage and the entire crowd surged forward 20 metres. it was beyond doubt the best concert i have ever seen.

I've only seen two, Avril Lavigne (because my friend wanted to go for her birthday) and My Chemical Romance in 2007. I will be seeing Green Day in December.

I haven't been to many concerts. Most I do see are festival related and I don't go to festivals for the music. Metallica takes the cake for me. Mostly because it was epic seeing the people who introduced me to rock n roll in real life.

I went to hear Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, just before this year's summer-break.

It. Was. Awesome.

That was the very end of a support act for a gig I saw with Motorhead headlining and Girl's School and The Damned (group shown above) suporting. What's happening at that point is that their lead guitarist Captain Sensible is refusing to get off stage and eventually has to be dragged off by their lead singer. The other parts of the gig were good, but that was the most entertaining part, as well as the part that was in the best detail.

And yes, I was in the mosh pit for Ace of Spades.

Best concert of my life.

Protest the Hero and As I Lay Dying. Crazy awesome show. I was so tired after the Protest set I just stood in the back and watched As I Lay Dying. Came back with 94 hours as their encore which was the epitome of awesomeness.
