I just became the proud owner of Microsoft Office Professional Pro for the grand price of $15! This made me quite stoked, considering the retail price is something like $545.

Question: What great deals have you found out in the wild, be it second hand or brand new?

I had a sales guy at Best Buy agree to knock $300.00 off the price of a laptop because I was buying the display. When I got to the register, someone had pulled a new one out of the back and I still got the discount.

Back when the Droid Razr was new, I managed to get the phone, which was $300 with a 2 year contract, for 1 cent because a new electronics store was willing to price match a really specific Amazon deal.

That was pretty sweet.

Probably either the Humble THQ bundle, or the Humble Indie Bundle V. So many good games, pay what you want!

Recently bought a bass guitar off my friend's mom for $75 dollars. She got it for $125 and it goes for $300 retail. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. I'm gonna be paying through the nose on batteries for it, though.

My school gave me the other graduating students the adobe master suite for 150 bucks which is worth a couple thousand. I also once bought a $500 book from my local comic store for $20. The book sat there for months and I grabbed it one day and found out later is was really rare.

300$ Monster Turbine headphones 2nd hand for 35$... pretty sure they were original too. Sadly I think I misread the auction timer and instead of 6 days it was 6 hours. So I missed them.

I found £40 in church once. I wasn't religious back then but still handed it in. I now consider it a down payment if it turns out that the afterlife exists as Scottish catholics describe it.

Human Revolution for £1.50 on Steam during a sale. Or TF2 for free.

Amazon Prime for a year was also pretty great value, considering how much use I made of it during that year.

Got the first 4 seasons of Futurama and all the movies for 30 ?. Also got Crysis 2, a Max Payne 3 -t-shirt and a 6 month subscription to a gaming magazine for 20 ? once. Not bad IMO, but pales in comparison to some of the above examples.

On black friday I bought three 23" monitors for only $100 each. They were 50% off. The fun bit is that they were one per customer. I bought one at the store, one with my one email address and one with another email address.

I also bought at .50 BMG rifle that goes for 2k that also came with a scope that is worth another 2k for only 3k. If I sold that same setup now, I could easily get 8K for it.

That LoZ Limited Edition (the one that have the previous game and including a demo of Wind Waker) for only £15! I mean that isn't suppose to be on sale in the first place as you get that when you buy this special Gamecube (this was years after it was out so I guess they were trying to get rid of it).

I once picked up a 48" flatscreen tv for $100 from a friend's uncle.
I sold that shit for $500!
It was probably stolen but hey, cheap tv is good tv.

One of the bundles probably, nowhere near as exciting as the OP but a pretty good deal.

On paper it's the THQ Bundle, that's certainly the most factual worth and Saints Row 3 alone was way more valuable than what I paid (and I paid above average :( ). But apart from Saints Row I haven't played the other games yet or they didn't catch my attention.

In the same way, the Indie Royal Bundle gave me To The Moon, which is one of my favourite all time games, but I don#t remember much else about it.

Then there's the Humble Bundle that had Limbo and Bastion on it. That was a fantastic deal...

...wait Katawa Shoujo =D No way should a game that good be free

I got a used copy of Dark Souls for just under 19$, even though the tag said 22$.

I once purchased a new flavour of Bolthouse. It was on the shelves but I guess it hadn't been registered yet, so the clerk gave it to me for like a dollar or two less than it would turn out to be.

I once purchased a normal sized bag of cheetos for under a quarter. I don't know how that happened.

Some years ago I was sifting through the PS3 games in a local store and found Valkyria Chronicles new for 10 Euros....I immediately grabbed it....
