LA Noire has been a great game. It's best if you play it in small bursts, a couple cases at a time. Still, the unneeded sandbox really holds it down...
Pokemon White has been very addictive, and solves a few issues of the previous generations while adding a few interesting twists of its own. Still, if you didn't like Pokemon before even at Gen 1, this isn't going to change your mind.
Portal 2 was great, but there were a few sections that not only dragged on for a little while, but those sections tended to be the most annoying parts. Thankfully said parts were few and far between.
inFamous 2 has been perhaps the biggest surprise. I liked the original, but for there to be such an improvement was unexpected. Can't wait to play more of it later tonight.
Shadows of the Damned is gonna end up this year's Singularity/Vanquish: a fun, interesting game that will be buried by the CoDs and the Battlefields and the Portals and all the other attention-hogging FPS giants.
Honorable mention to Marvel vs Capcom 3: If the online matchmaking wasn't so bad, I'd have put it above Shadows.
Still, between Battlefield 3, all the awesome 3DS games coming out, Saint's Row 3 and Zelda Skyward Sword, this is going to be a good year for me...
