Hey everyone, the other day me and my friend were talking about launch trailers. i was wondering what are some other good launch trailers. My friend went on to say Mass Effect 2 and Dead Space 2

as of now because its the only one i can remember im going to go with the dead space 2 trailer because i like the song "Bullet with butterfly wings". i also didn't like Mass Effect 2 as much as Dead Space 2.

But please, members of the escapist i implore you to show me your favorite trailers, Teasers, or fan made trailers

another favorite of mine was the Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix - Special Secret ending [deep dive]. (it is kinda like a trailer to Kingdom Hearts 2 but its a good video anyway :D)

Eh, just the usual suspects from me.

A string of cutscene grabs from the game thrown together with some good background music is nice and all, but I like my trailers to have a bit of... coherence to them.

Well, it's gotta be either this one for Freelancer...

I still love the opening line of that trailer. The sleeper ship Hispania, by the way, veered off course and...well, that's a story for another day.

...Or this one for Wolfenstein: The New Order:

A lot of the trailers for that game - and the footage of the game itself that I have seen - remind me of Inglourious Basterds, which I thoroughly enjoyed for how shamelessly over-the-top it was.

You remember that Killzone 2 trailer? The one that floored everybody and, as it turned out, was full of lies? The game didn't look like that, and that wasn't in-game footage or anything?

Well, I still think that was a freaking amazing trailer. If only the game was like that--a random solider in the middle of a battlefield with stuff blowing up all over the place and other soldiers fighting alongside you and doing their own thing. Sadly, every Killzone game I play has two, maybe three levels like that, and then the rest is just you, with sometimes an unkillable NPC companion.

And Mass Effect 3's launch trailer, the one with the little girl. That was awesome too.

Probably not a choice many would go for but I really damn love the launch trailer for Assassin's Creed: Revelations. It's just really kinda brilliant to me.

Obscure reference, but I was fond of Rule of Rose's stuff. It's eerie and uncomfortable, but it's made up of cinematics that don't directly show up in the main game, and subtly foreshadows a lot of the darker themes that make sense once you go through the Lord of the Flies-esque story.

Also, the direction of the Dead Island trailer deserves a quick mention. Even if it didn't end up representing the actual game's tone.

There is only one version of my favorite trailer worth showing off, the one that made grown men cry with joy!

Without a doubt the TGS 2005 MGS4 trailer. It was just..freakin awesome and really got me excited for the game and 'next-gen' in general. Everything just looked like such a step up both graphically and presentation wise. In the end the final game didn't really meet my expectations but damn was that trailer awesome for its day.
