1. Best First Person Shooter - Half Life 2. Or maybe Episode 1. Or 2.
2. Best Third Person Shooter - Haven't actually played many, or any... Fallout 3 I guess? Since you can play it in third person.
3. Best RPG - Costume Quest :)
4. Best Classic Game (Highest Nostalgia Factor) - Spyro Adventure (or Attack of the Rhynocs as it's called in the US). The GBA was my first gaming device and that was the second game I got for it, the first being Pokemon Sapphire. God those were such great games... OK maybe this is tied with Pokemon Sapphire.
5. Best Soundtrack - Grim Fandango. Especially in Year 2.
6. Best Game Theme/Score - Halo, probably. Driving over the collapsing ring in the last mission of Halo 3 with that music playing was just too awesome.
7. Best Cast/Characterisation or Individual Character - Psychonauts. The fact that you could enter those characters' minds probably had something to do with it.
8. Best Stealth Game - Assassin's Creed (the first one). Annoying to play because it was too happy to let you turn it into an action game, but if you played stealthily and planned your assassinations, and let yourself die to retry if you were seen, it was great fun.
9. Most Original Game - Brutal Legend. Fantastic blend of Action and RTS and it managed to make it work perfectly on a console to boot. On top of its amazing theme, its mechanics are just so damn well thought out. There's seriously nothing like it.

1.Best First Person Shooter
Toss up between Quake 2 and Deus Ex; Quake 2 for multiplayer, Deus Ex for single.

2.Best Third Person Shooter
Metal Gear Solid 3

3.Best RPG
Planescape Torment, nothing is even close.

4.Best Classic Game (Highest Nostalgia Factor)
Streets of Rage 2, stay to fuck away from my Blaze.

5.Best Soundtrack
Can't really say.

6.Best Game Theme/Score
Civ 4's and Diablo II's are the only that really stick out for me. I usually have music turned off. Of those two, I'd say Civ 4.

7.Best Cast/Characterisation or Individual Character
Planescape Torment, the whole damn game was about getting to know yourself.

8.Best Stealth Game
Thief, think I'm one of the few that prefer the original over the sequel.

9.Most Original Game
This is kind of tough... plenty of games with original mechanics that don't really stand out as original themselves; AoE, Soul Reaver, Deus Ex, etc... really not sure, I'm sure I'll think of something and edit this later.

8. Batman: Arkham Asylum
Having to whittle down 7 armed guards all through stealth-knockouts without being seen once was pure awesome.
I never really saw a reason for this in Batman: AA, I would just toss multi-rangs then jump down and beat the shit out of everything. Every time I tried to do the stealth thing I took more damage and wasted more time than had I just dove into the crowd.

Finally, someone else that liked it! Great story as well and music as well. The RTS parts were kind of meh, but it's the best immersion I've ever felt playing a game when you're just driving around headbanging! I want a second one!!

With armed guards? I can see that happening with melee thugs but armed guards were impossible if I didn't use stealth.

And aside from that, it was still a great game. Lovely setting, good bosses, all that jazz.
I played the combo challenges excessively... so, I rarely got hit in the normal game, even against armed guards. That's not to say I didn't have to wait for the right moment. I was pretty damn bad with the whole stealth thing though, so I think I had to adapt to avoid it.

1. Unreal Tournament 2004 - gameplay is just perfect, it's perfectly designed for multiplayer, and if you want to play single player the campaign is actually plausible. all the mods for it don't hurt either
2. I actually don't have anything that stands out here, and couldn't justify anything beyond "I found it fun"
3. Persona 3 FES (although P3P might be a bit better?) The day/night cycle, having to schedule everything, and social interactions in and out of school help you get really immersed. Traditional dungeon crawling elements are also pretty sweet, along with getting new equipment, and like Diablo the layout is always random so it has excellent replay value.
4. Super Mario Land - the gameplay is completely tight, the level design is excellent too, with a lot of variety, the little touches, like the jumping vampires in world four, as well as a suitable soundtrack is just perfect
5. Bayonetta - the Helena Noguerra Fly Me To the Moon remix is just appropriately enchanting, and the rest of the songs work seamlessly too
6. Isn't this the same as above? Final Fantasy X is pretty impressive just based on how massive it is
7. Can't think of anything here either
8. Thief: The Dark Project - I don't think I actually need to explain this one. There are a few games which make all other games in the same genre just not good enough, and Thief is one of them
9. Mile High Pinball - yeah, pinball isn't original, but the way it's done is just brilliant and suits a computer perfectly. I'm hoping it makes it back onto the Ovi store, because it doesn't look like anyone is going to try it again

1. Half-Life, mostly because the plethora of mods available have given me more entertainment than any other fps to this very day.
2. Haven't played all that many. I guess Uncharted 2 stands out.
3. Planescape Torment. This doesn't even need explaining (or at least it shouldn't).
4. Super Mario Bros. It was the first game I owned and still the first one I think of when asked to name 'a classic game'.
5. Rez. I'm not all that into electronical music, but the way it is implemented in this game and meshes with the gameplay is amazing.
6. Samus Intro Fanfare from the Metroid series. Short and simple but it always makes me feel right at home.
7. Kreia in KOTOR 2. Quite possibly the greatest and most well-developed character in any game I know of.
8. Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
9. I'm going to take the 5th on this one. An exceedingly hard question with too many contenders.

1.The halo trilogy. I just like the game mechanics more than any others.
2.Resident evil 4. My only complaint is not being able to walk while aiming/firing the gun.
3.Don't really play any. Mass effect by default I suppose.
4.The spyro trilogy. Have played each about 100 times.
5.Ratchet and clank. The different tunes all fit their levels perfectly.
6.Halo. Kickass main theme
7.I really don't know.
8.The chronicles of Riddick. It just works.
9.Shadow of the colossus.

8.Best Stealth Game - This is a tough one, probably Deus Ex.
9.Most Original Game - Jet Set Radio Future (again), nothing else like it and if that isn't original I don't know what is.
