Best LGA1366 processor?

What is the current best processor with that kind of socket. price doesn't matter please tell what is the best for gaming

TBH, if you're asking these questions (and phrasing them in the manner that you are), you might be better of going with a pre-built system.

i don't need your opinion on this matter. if you have any information that might answer my questions then please post it but if you don't move along

I don't think there are any nvidia made boards for that socket type. This board by EVGA is the stand out best gaming board for that socket type:

EVGA Classified Super Record 2 (SR-2)

You can ignore my edit in my post above, if price is no concern then this is the best processor + motherboard money can buy.

There aren't any good nVidia-made LGA1366 motherboards that I can recommend, because nVidia doesn't make motherboards. [/rolleyes]

No but they do make chip sets, used to for both, only seen them for AMD recently though.

Do have to wonder about the preference for 1366 though, given it's not being used for any new processors.

Isnt it better go with SB-E instead of 1366?

And 990x is overkill and overpriced for gaming.
