Call of Pripyat is newer and I personally find it more entertaining then the other 2 games. And its one of my all time favorite games. But you should really play them all. Story goes:Clear Sky>Shadow of Chernobyl>Call of Pripyat.
meh, il be honest, the game doesn't look so interesting that i am enticed to give more than 1 of them a try. besides, i havent heard anything saying that you need to play em in order =P

If you want 1 to hook you up, i'd say Shadow of Chernobyl, the gameplay is less refined than CoP but the story is so much better.It's also one of the rare games that made me go "you know...i really
really don't wanna go in that dark damp lab basement, i remember the last one all too well......fuck that i'll go do some side-missions instead this'll wait for later, preferably during the daytime"
