Lets say a cinema trip costs you £6 or however many dollars. And that can run to 2 hours. That's £3 per hour.

If i can make that on a game i buy, then i consider it to be good value.

What's the best value game you've ever had.

For me,
120+ hours on FFXII. that comes to about .30p per hour.
Chef's Love Shack and Wailai Country Club. So cheap to buy and spent so long playing them with freinds that it's down to maybe 2p per hour.

Go on, cheapest game you've spent FAR too long playing?

(damn, wrong forum. sorry about that)

The Orange Box:
12 hours on Half-Life 2
4 hours on Episode 1
5 hours on Episode 2
2 hours on Portal
Countless hours on Team Fortress 2 (I've been playing since release)

Warcraft III. I have no idea how long I have played it, but it's alot. Even more if you count The Frozen Throne expansion.
Morrowind comes in on a good second.

Half Life 2 package. Played HL2 about 6-7 times all the way through (just really loved it), which ammounts to about 60 hours or so. Plus it came with Couterstrike: Source, on which I must have logged 100 hours in the first six months.
$.28 an hour or less for loads of fun.

^^^ What your eyes should look like by now.

I've probably spent about 50hrs on Oblivion making it one of my best value games too.

Lots of Time on Guild Wars, I can count that because unlike WoW, it's free after you buy the CD key.

FF6, free emulator ROM, at least 5 full playthroughs now.

A lot of my childhood playing Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars on SNES. A LOT of my childhood...

I'll say Orange Box too. Got it last August for around 30 bucks and with that I got the best game I've ever played, Half-Life 2 and the funniest multiplayer. I've got around 18 h on all classes in TF2 and I've replayed Half-Life 2 and its episodes around four times.

I also got around 13 days in CoD 4 multiplayer but that cost me 60 bones.

How much do you play it, though?

I've got everyone beat so far with little-old pokemon for the DS coming in at over 400 hours. At $35 that's $0.0875 per hour and shrinking.

EDIT: I forgot about SSBM. ~2300 hours for $50 comes out to ~$0.0217 per hour.

I would like to introduce you to my friend, Mr. Sun
It's old, and i still play it about an hour a day so..
I'm not sure why you guys are so worried about a measly 357 hours.

Just wait until the wow junkies show up with their figures.
but WoW costs every month. so the costs can never get that low...

Yeah, but they pay every month. I've gotten ~2300 hours on SSBM

I play it more than you'd think. Anytime I'm on my computer (which is always). I'm tabbing away to it as I type this. It's fiercely addictive.
