We've all had those moments. The two people who won't stop talking to one another through the whole damn movie, the guy eating popcorn so loud you start suspecting that it's not popcorn that he is actually eating.

We have also had our good moments, but I won't list them, because it's not as fun.

But what have been your worst and best times with a movie audience?

Worst: When I watched Avatar back in '09 everyone started giggling like school-girls during the romance scene, then, during the entire scene and a little bit after, they kept small talking to eachother.

Best: When I watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 on the Midnight showing. Everyone laughed at the right moment, the audience even cheered and applauded when
You see Ron after he's saved Harry from the frozen lake
. These people were all real fans, so you always got the right reactions from them.

must be an american thing Ive never had any trouble at the cinema, even with a packed-out veiwing of the dark knight in a tiny little theater with lots of teenagers it was fine

most people have ever done is applud at the end or laugh, I dont mind apluding at the end, shows u apreciated the movie

worst than any movie is having ones boyfreind there, Mabye Im too obssed with movies but he seemed to think the whole purpose was a make out session

I mean what the fuck? you can fucking do that for free at home, you think Im paying to sit in a dark room with thease stupid plactic glasses and make out with you? no fucking way, you breaking my imersion....asshole

Best: Austin Powers III prerelease screening, when Britney Spears exploded, the lights came back on, soda and popcorn went EVERYWHERE. Mad party up in theatre 3! It was legendary.

Worst: Not so much the audience but the projectionist. Star Wars Episode III: projectionist fell asleep in the booth leaning on the volume control. We were more deaf than the crowd at the loudest KISS concert and then suddenly couldn't hear anything depending on how the guy snored.

I'm not a hundred percent what movie I was seeing(Watchmen I think) but there was little kids, babies, and fucking loud teenagers. Babies were crying, the little kids were crying or asking questions loudly, and the teenagers had their phones on and were being complete asses.

Edit: Best were Jarhead and The Dark Knight. No kids. No babies. No cell phones. And everyone was in synch with the movies.

I haven't been to a movie since The Dark Knight where there hasn't been some sort of inconsiderate jackass.

Worst: Me and a pal went to a fairly up market cinema to watch Black Swan and it was just full of people fiddling about with their food packets constantly. Some girl just in front of me spent 5 minutes trying to quitely open her bag of sweets, I nearly punched her in the back of the neck.

Best: Me and my wench went to see Toy Story 3 in a Vue which was mostly families and kids who were good as gold.

Despicable Me had the worst audience.

Anyone else ever see that typical group of 15 year olds who think they are the shit and too cool for everything and just crack jokes at everything because they are afraid of taking anything seriously?

Yea well they were right behind me, ruined the whole fucking movie.

Worst movie audience: Transformers. Not only were people talking and using their cell phones constantly, but some genius parents decided to bring their three-year-old boy along. He would alternate between crying his eyes out due to fear, and shouting every thirty seconds out of boredom. The parents never took him out of the theater.

Best movie audience: Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. The audience was just the right blend of enthusiastic, yet respectful of others. I had read the books beforehand, so I knew what was going to happen. Most audience members didn't however, resulting in two particularly amusing moments:
1. People absolutely freaked out at Shelob stunning Frodo. When the stinger came down about half of the audience members gasped, and a few teenage girls literally screamed.

2. The "psyche-out" scene near the end. You know, the moment where the camera slowly fades on Frodo and Sam on the brink of death as Mt. Doom erupts around them, followed by an extended black screen. The general reaction went something like this:
"What? Hey wait a minute! No! NOOOOOOOOOO!"
There were many audible exhales of relief when the next scene finally started playing.

Can only remember the best (well have some worst but that was before the movie started(1 was cinema showing the wrong movie for 10 minutes))

The best was with ice age 1 I was in the cinema with 1 other person. It was probably not fun for him because i was the only one laughing throughout the movie.

Worst:
I have to walk with a stick, went to see Harry Potter & Deathly Hallows Pt1 by myself, got called a cripple and worse by a bunch of teenage lads for an hour before I walked out. I complained to the cinema, didn't do me any good.

Best:
First time I saw Harry Potter & Deathly Hallows Pt1 was with my best friend who's never read the books and made me swear on pain of death that I wouldn't tell her what happened in the final book. She laughed and cried in all the right places, it was brilliant!

Best: Inception- I went alone, and no one in the audience were making any sort of noise and were just enjoying the movie, so I was able to watch without any problems.

Worst: Every other time I've gone to the movies. It's usually with someone and they talk too much.

I barely go to a theater, though.

I don't usually go to the movies, I prefer to watch movies with friends at home. What annoys me the most while watching a movie though is when someone keeps constantly complaining that it's "not realistic"... It's not trying to be! Just because it's real actors and not drawn or animated ones DOESN'T mean it has to be true to life! A friend of mine does this a lot, and he's a massive anime fan... Why is it that the anime he watches can do all kinds of stuff that's nothing near to reality, way less so than most movies, but when we watch for example Bad Boys 2 he'll complain how that car exploded too much cause on Mythbusters they showed it wouldn't do that...

AAAGH!

*ahem* Best? I actually enjoy when there's a little talking while the movie runs, usually talk related to the movie or any scene in the movie that is currently showing. We pretty much always sit around and talk about whatever we're watching, but then again we're not bothering anyone else by doing so, maybe that's why we always do it XD.

I can only think of one theater experience that wasn't good; I don't remember what movie it was but some idiot teenagers were throwing popcorn at people the entire time and management did nothing despite a complaint.

I rarely go to movies near their release so most of the time I'm in theaters are are 95% empty and that's the way I like it. I remember when I saw Iron man there were a total of three people in the theater :)

Went to watch Ice Age II on the day of release with my lady at the time. The place was completely packed and the person sitting in front of us had bought a "Poutine" which is a quebec meal that comprises of Fries, BBQ sauce & curded cheese. He then proceeding to dumping about 4 packets of vinegar in there and it smelled really strong. He didn't finish it so the smell lingered the entire movie.

Best would probably be the 2nd time I went to see Stay Alive with my then lady and only 2 only people showed up in the entire theater, then they left after about 15 minutes into the movie and we were alone ^_^

Worst: Phantom Menace, so many kids that wouldn't show up, kid behind kept kicking my chair, kind in front wouldn't stop fidgeting.
Best: Joe Dirt, the last 5 minutes of the movie got cut, the theater gave everyone 3 free movie tickets, the whole crowd went from movie to movie after, it was epic.

Let see-

Worst-
Three girls were chatting throughtout the War of the World film. I had so wishing during the zapping people into dust scene, the alien robot broke the four wall and zap those girls to dust.
When me, my bro and our mate went to watched the Matrix Revolution there were two jerks who sit right at the back and we sat near the front. Throughout the film those jerks were flicking popcorns at us although I felt the least of it. When the film ended my mate give there a glare and them make a run for it.

Best-
When I watch Doom (which I regret) near the beggining of the film, there were group of annoying kids who enter who talk aloud and make a rukus. A couple of the audiences (tough looking blokes) told them off and they soon left.
When me and my bro went to watch Hot Fuzz, a couple were talking during the beggining until one of audience again another tough bloke told her to shut which she did.

I quite frankly like audiences who go to the cinema for the experiences as in stay quite and don't talk aloud to disrepect others.

Worst: Watchmen. The eejits sitting next to us would not shut the fuck up about Dr. Manhattan's glowing blue knob. Annoying, but not intolerable.

Best: Couldn't say. No stories of awesome enthusiasm. Probably doesn't happen much in the UK.
