Bethesda/Mojang Scrolls Case

I may not remember this correctly, but apparently Bethesda didn't want to do this whole court-case. It was just the convoluted way the copyright laws are written which forced them to.

I was so anxious about that court case, I couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, couldn't breathe.
I've been partially dead for the last few weeks, all because of this court case!
Now I can get back to being an internet lawyer and over-analyze everything I see on the internets because I feel entitled to do it.

That was always going to happen. Even in the US you'd never find a judge silly enough to rule a single word that common to be trademark material.

thats funny because Apple Corp got $80,000 from Apple Computer over a single word.
then they won again because an Apple II had a single playable sound file.

OT: honestly? first i thought Bethesda were being dicks. then i read Apple v Apple and thought they were right. so i stopped caring.

Honestly, I think this whole thing was a waste of time. Neither party was blameless, and the whole thing could have been smoothed out if either one had been willing to approach an agreement like adults.
