I watched the first episode of Beware the Batman last night, and it's pretty terrible. Shitty animation and voice acting. I can't believe they cancelled Young Justice for that crap.

What do you guys think of it?

This is the new CGI series right? That was teased on the finale of Brave and the Bold? Yeah, it looked pretty terrible there too, and even Bat-Mite hated it.

EDIT. Wait, I'm thinking of the Batgirl spoof from that episode. But Beware the Batman looked a lot like it.

Don't really have an opinion on it yet as the CGI animation turned me off. Same reason I haven't seen the Green Lantern series yet.

I think they missed an opportunity here, trying to do something new with the character, but too afraid to go all the way. They have an all new rogue's gallery including Professor Pyg, and new supporting characters (well not entirely new, but a rotation rather with Alfred and Katana instead of Robin and Batgirl), but they keep the same old Batman. What I'm trying to get at is, this should've been a show about Dick Grayson Batman, but I guess with the New 52 there's no way that'd be possible.

Green Lantern's pretty good. Kind of Star Trek-y at time and space opera-y at others, it's everything you'd think a story about intergalactic cops would be that the movie wasn't. It tells its own original story that kind of messes with the canon a bit though like Red Lanterns being a civilization onto themselves rather than this horde of rage monsters, but also alludes to established DC continuity like having Guy Gardner show up and that snappy joke about John Stewart, the Anti-Monitor, and Thanagarians.

Oh don't give me that shit. That's not how TV works. They didn't cancel it to replace it, they did because they didn't like it.

I know that's not how tv works. I'm just sayin, the show sucks and Young Justice was infinitely better.

It's alright since I think the series is an animated take on that Batman series that came out a few years ago (can't remember which one, my mate show me a link of a comic series with a younger Batman and a younger but badass looking Alfred)?

What I do like about the new Batman series is they are using the lesser known villain like Professor Pyg (yes I know the animated version is nowhere near sinister compared to his comicbook counterpart), Mr Toad, Magpie, Anarchy (how did they NOT used him in The Brave and the Bold series? He sound interesting when I did a quick read on him) and the upcoming villain Silver Monkey.

No there is nothing wrong about the already established villains like Scarecrow, Mr Freeze, The Joker etc but I already know about them and these unfamiliar villain introduced so far in the series is like a showcase to me since I don't read comicbook in general (but I am into it).

Either way, if you don't like it then don't watch it and just go back to rewatching the previous shows of him if it bother you that much. Sure you can be watching it to see if it get any better later on but at the end of the day only you time spend watching it is at risk.
