Biggest Gaming Letdowns

What was your biggest gaming letdown? Why was it a letdown? What could they have done better in creating the game? Why am I asking so many questions?

Mercenaries 2: Its not that I didn't down right hate the game but it was just something about it that the gameplay started get less and less interesting.

Fable 2. They should have made it longer. And Call of Duty: World at War. The veteran difficulty had enemies throwing grenades every second.

.hack Infection, I played it for the first time recently, I went in expecting a hundred hours of epic RPG fun, and I was getting it to being with it. up intill I beat it in 10 hours.

Now I have to spend another year searching through used bins for the sequel.

Well my big let down was the end "bosses" of two games, Fable 2 and Gears of Lag War 2.

What was going on with Lucien in Fable 2?? I just shot him one time with my little pistol and he fell of the cliff, i was expecting a Jack Of Blades boss fight. Gears of Lag War 2 was an even bigger let down, the Brumak had the potential to be an epic boss but you just hammer of dawn its ass twice and its game over.

What was going on with Lucien in Fable 2?? I just shot him one time with my little pistol and he fell of the cliff, i was expecting a Jack Of Blades boss fight. Gears of Lag War 2 was an even bigger let down, the Brumak had the potential to be an epic boss but you just hammer of dawn its ass twice and its game over.

Oh my god yes, i totally agree, i waited like 5 years for this game, and it was TERRIBLE. I actually almost felt like crying when i realised what it really was, a crap game.
By this statement i'm of course talking about Fable 2, i rather liked Gears 2.

conflict denied ops biggest let down ever for me. the other 4 games did what they aimed to do well but conflict denied ops just took the name and a draged it through the mud for miles and miles.

Golden Eye Rogue Agent: did even come close to live up to its predisesor
Chromehounds: demo was awesome, game was not
Starcraft 2: i know its not out yet but c'mon people. is it really worth paying $150 for all 3 races as well as battle.net fees?

I assume your talking about Fable 2. I was gonna download Knothole Island but my disc got a huge scratch in it and wouldn't play, but i heard it was crap anyway. I almost cried playing it to but for a different reason, when my doggy died . I didn't even hear any of Lucien's speech i just shot him instantly because i was so pissed bout my dog.

I was pissed off as well, but i did the choice where i brought back my loved ones. I was so good that no one really cared anyway.
And i haven't downloaded Knothole Island yet, don't think i will, i've already made up my mind about the game as a whole.

Saw that, don't think it was actually allowed by Nintendo, so they just tweaked the names and stuff, reason why it was Daisy instead of Peach, and King Koopa, and not bowser. Was good for a laugh, but didn't actually take it seriously.

I actually agree with a lot of what Yahtzee said in his review, with the "You can, but why would you" and the fake freedom etc.

Nintendo allowed this abomination into existence so they are just as responsible as every one else in this movie. Even if it was a joke, it went way too far. Mario became Luigi's father, Goombas became large dinosaurs with tiny heads, and Luigi ended up with the Princess. I could go on but the sheer amount of suckage in this movie could leave you a broken heap crying in the corner.

Wasn't it that Mario was Luigi's uncle? Or something along those lines? And Luigi only ended up with the princess because the princess was Daisy, and i think Mario already had some girl or something. But yes, it was a shit movie.
