Well, everyone has theyer own opinion on this subject. Everyone has that one thing that was more then a massive let down to them. Weather it be a game, movie, or CD.

When i heard that Black Ops was going to have a "Theater Mode" where you could render and upload videos without a capture card, i freaked. I was utterly amazed.

But the catch is, the clips you render can only be 30 seconds long. I was devastated. I have half a dozen clips, that are, for a lack of better comaprison, "MLG quality". 14 killstreaks without air support, 4 man sprays left and right, amazing balistics knife shots, and games where i go 44/13 or better. But i cant show any of that to the world without shelling out another $100 bucks. Because the Black Ops theater mode doesnt allow you to export clips straight to your Hard drive or Computer.

So Escapees, whats your biggest let down of the past few years?

Reading Superman: Red Son. Great story over all but

The Green Lantern Marine Corp is really hyped up. Hell even Luthor says Col. Hal Jordon could be the only person to actually stand a chance against Superman but the fight is over before it even began!! They were talking this fight up for two whole chapters!!

Oh and the Shredder fights in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies.

The Force Unleashed II, game was way too short. Its like taking Call of Duty 4's campaign, cutting it in half, and then cutting that half into another half.

I usually research a game before I buy it BUT it's still Impossible to avoid let downs from time to time

Like F.E.A.R. 2, too short and annoying ending

Oblivion as much as I like fallout 3 this just didn't do it for me, not that its anyones fault I just played it a few years too late

The witcher, after all the critical praise it got....Well it was boring and of corse that one line

old lady: "wwhhaaaaat???? you drunk!!!"
Geralt: "Nooooooot troooooooo..."

That dosn't even capture the hammieness of it

So...like a quarter?

OT: I was one of the people that bought Two Worlds on the day it was released. I usually don't say this, but enough said.

Blizzard has actually let me down quite a bit this year. I'm not one of those "BOBBY KOTICK IS THE DEVIL AND HE'S TAKING OVER THE WORLD OF GAMING!!!111!!111" types, but I tend to expect nothing but outright and pure quality from that company. While there's some stuff to say for their popularity system, SC2's lack of LAN and what's going on with that game in Korea, the fact that they've done stuff that's only argueably good and horrible at its worst is quite a let down. Before Wrath of the Lich King was released, every single thing they did or made was hands down and solely good to downright awesome.

Everytime I go to a party.

It always ends up being more boring than I thought it would be, and I already had low expectations. :(

I ussually assume the worst to avoid this, but New Vegas managed to be a let down despite my really low expectations.

Fable 3. I never played the first two. But I figured I'd take a gamble. Yea. Its not bad by any means. And I'm not really a RPG person. But I was in a permanent state of "this is it ?"

Far Cry 2. I was expecting a pretty goos, but not necicarily amazing game. I consider it one of the WORST games I own. It just seems to be more focused on ideas that are "impressive" than fun.

Eminems latest work. Don't get me wrong. I'm not one of those wigger kids who thinks he's gansta. O just liked some of his earlier stuff. I'm gonna ask you to picture this. You have something you really like, not with a passion. But you really like it. Now picture it goes away for a while. Then comes back (Relapse) and it's decent, but there are signs that its chaninging, in some ways towards something you hate. Then it comes back again and you have hope it moves back to what it once was. But instead you get a total SCREW YOU and it's legitimately bad. Not only is it different but it's become what you hate (radio friendly music) so you say screw it. Even his old stuff just is done.

Every Oilers season since I've been a fan... Atleast we get good rookies out of the draft. But I want to be able to say "we will dominate this game" just once.

Fallout: NV. I honestly never felt like I was playing a totally new or whatever game. I just honestly felt like I was playing FO 3 in the dessert. Maybe that's the point. But whatever.

I solved this by not going to parties. They tend to just be a waste of my time.

Humanity.

Other than that... actually I generally don't expect anything from anyone anymore, so not much opportunity to be disappointed.

Awww. But they can be fun! You just gotta hook up with the right people.

Or drink a lot of alcohol...

No, no- hook up with the right people. Hangovers are not so good.
I've never had a hangover. I don't even get them, no matter how much I drink.

Also, I don't like me when I'm drunk. All my restraints that I have on constantly come off. That's not a good thing.

On people... um... I'm fine with hanging out, but a party is just a bit much. Note that I grew up in a biker family, so I'm a little burnt out on that whole scene.

I've never even drunk alcohol, lol.

I'm the same - low-key hanging with friends beats out a mass of people and loud sounds all night.
Gimmie a good book[footnote]I'll probably start reading Snow Crash at some point[/footnote], some good music[footnote]I'm a fan of New Classical, some soundtracks, and metal[/footnote], and a warm fire and I'm a very happy man.

On the other side of that, toss some folks together for a LAN Sins of a Solar Empire and I'm an even happier man.

I don't think I ever answered the OP, though, so...

OP: Sex. I just don't get the hype.

Radiohead: Best of compilation.

I like some of their songs but I just, freaking, cant, get, into, it.

Game wise Fallout 3 in general (dont eat me!) and Halo Reach, though I didnt exactly have huge expectations of it.

It's apparently if you don't drink much, your liver is all healthy and primed to metabolise alcohol. So it deals with the alcohol really well, and you don't get a hangover.

At least, I never get hangovers, and I think that's why.

And yes, parties are a real let down for me mostly. I'm bipolar, so I really have to watch my drinking, also I can freak out in crowds, so I tend to leave early before everyone gets into "the swing of it".
