Simply put, what game do you feel had the biggest, most surprising plot twist or plot revelation? For me, that would have to be KOTOR. For those of you that played the game, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Let's hear some of yours! :)

KOTOR was pretty brilliant, yes, but i'm going with Jade Empire. that whole game was a lineup of masterfully thought up, redicolously well laid out gambits. if you played it, you know exactly what i'm refering to. if not, then go and do it! now! i'm friggin serious!

Assassins' Creed, if it counts. The story element with Desmond and the Animus could be considered plot twists.

The identity of the precursors in Jak 3.

THREE games worth of build up for these guys and the payoff was absolutely brilliant.

Either Bioshock or Assassin's Creed.

And when I say Assassin's Creed, I mean the entire series. It's basically one giant plot twist.

i'm gonna go against popular opinion and say SO3. i honestly loved it, and don't see why everyone hated it so much.

Oh I know exactly what you're talking about, and when it happened, I was in shock. I just recently got the game again off of amazon, and I totally forgot about that twist, so when it happened, I was like O_O

Ill go With the Kesslar plot twist, the infamous Jak 3 great plot twist (that left me extremely sad of discovering who jak really is... and left me with some questions has well), bioshock (the helping man is an asshole), and the cherry on top of the big cake would be the one from Jade Empire..... dam... i trusted that old fool...

also jade empire to what jade really is, and both God of War 2 ending when i discover who Kratos father is has well in MGS3 when i discovered the true itentions of the boss...

the one most emotional from all was the mgs3 one.... the boss... one of the best characters ever to be created...

yeah, this old bioware stuff kicks everythings ass, storytellingwise. anyone who played kotor for instance could not keep a straight face when calling something from assassins creed a "plot twist" :D

This this this, and this. That just came out of nowhere, except it didn't, it dropped clues for you. That was, in my opinion, the perfect way to do something like that.

OT: Hard to think of one... Bioshock has been taken so...

Oh! I'm not sure if this counts, but I like how in Halo the Sangheili find out about the Prophet's lies. That had to be a twist for them.

Arcanum deserves a mention. Wait, the bad guy isn't the bad guy, and he wants to help me kill the real bad guy? WAIT the real bad guy is just doing what he is doing because he want to help everyone??

Finally I'm not the only one!

OT: I enjoyed Tales of Symphonia's plot twist, the main one at least there were a few small ones. I also have to agree with the rest of this thread and say KOTOR and Bioshock because they were amazing.
