Bioshcck 2: Minerva's Den without Disc

I bought Bioshock 2 for PC but Minerva's Den's release date has not been announced and it may never come out. I really want to play Minerva's so I was thinking, if I download Minerva's Den for PS3, can I play it even though I don't have Bioshock 2? Could someone with the DLC try playing it without putting in the disk?

Considering that it's DLC, and not an old style expansion pack, my guess would be that it's impossible. Time was a company would occasionally release what was called a "Standalone Expansion Pack," which was exactly what it said on the tin, but the last one of those I heard about was for the original F.E.A.R., and a while back. Also, even then, most expansion packs required the original game, they mostly went the standalone route when the game had been around long enough that new copies were hard to come by.
