I love bioshock.... it was the first game I've played watch I felt completely into the game with the atmosphere and the plot being unrevealed before me as someone who just arrived at Rapture. When I saw the trailer for Bioshock Infinite, I was legitimately excited....how about you? What kind of combat changes would be a nice change of pace? What can a prequel add to this story? What do you think overall?

The name reminds me of Disgaea Infinite... So Bioshock Infinite better be a hilarious visual novel involving prinnies...

Seriously, I'll probably just end up renting this one.

I'm seriously looking forward to it. I'm kind of upset I learned about it already, honestly. Damn you Escapist, and your minute-to-minute awesomeness!

Personally, I'm not too fond of "Bioshock: Infinite" as a name. It just seems... I don't know, lame. I would have gone with a different name entirely, honestly.

Well at least it looks like it's trying to something different than just put a fishbowl on your head.

The 'oldies' theme to Bioshock turned me off to no end, so I suppose that them getting rid of that 50's feel might be good. I've never seen a 20's themed game :p

Can we please see this city when it's actually not gone to shit? It was sort of interesting to see the fallen Rapture, but seeing it in it's glory, and then possibly coming crashing down around us, would've been even cooler. I hope they don't repeat that for this game.

Also, I don't think it should be called Bioshock. They did System Shock, then Bioshock, it should be called.. I dunno', Airshock or something.

Using the same name for something different seems silly.
Someone else suggested Aeroshock which I think would sound better.

Besides that small complaint it looks pretty good so far.

It's Bioshock in the sky. That's all I know. I'd feel dirty making judgements on it already.

I'll just say that there is a new setting, so let us hope that it has a better plot than Bioshock 2 did.
well i was just looking for first impression....we're not really passing judgement

I like how it looks so far, the aesthetics are different enough for it to be distinguished from the other bioshock games, yet they still feel close enough for it to be considered the same game.

Also, I think I heard that the Australian studio that worked on the first one will be working on this, so that's always good.

Plus it looks even more steampunk than the first two :p.

Well, the rest of it was my first impression... If I had to add anything, I'd just say that the title sucks. Hell, simply Bioshock 3 would have been better.
i disagree on bioshock 3 for the mere fact that its a prequel...but yeah the name kind of sucks a bit

I'm so glad they chose a different location. Yes, there was a lot more to Rapture that hasn't been explored, but there's no reason to go back. Everything that can be done already has been. The fall of Rapture and before are best left to the audio logs, to keep it mysterious and slightly open to interpretation. And I can't wait to see how this game is related to the other two.

[terrible pun]It should be called "Fly-o-shock".[/terrible pun]

Aeroshock? You're aware that Bioshock wasn't called Aquashock right?

They're both called Bioshock because (as Levine puts it) a Bioshock game is defined by taking a somewhat fantastical enviroment grounded in reality that is there to explore the human experience.

I think the real issue is that a Bioshock 2 exists. If anything that game should have just been titled "Return to Rapture". Bioshock does not = Rapture.

I think they just kept the "Bioshock" name for marketing purposes. Like how Activision kept the "Call of Duty" prefix for MW2.
