So I just saw the new trailer for the next Bioshock game "Bioshock: Infinite" and wanted to hear what people thought of it. for those who haven't seen it, you can watch the trailer at www.whatisicarus.com. I'm sceptical but I am somewhat glad that they took it out of Rapture. It was getting kind of stale down there.

Going by the description, it seems to be another buddy-cop game. To which I say meh. If otherwise, the response is still the same. I didn't care much for the first one, less for the second. But hey, nice to see them shy away from the technical aspect in favor of more and more magic.

Meh. I've never really been into the Bioshock series. The first was alright at best in my view, and the second was a major letdown.

It's Bioshock, which means the gameplay should be good, and Kevin Levine is supposedly back on the project, so I have hopes that the atmosphere will still be awesome.
He is definitely back on the project; there's an with him on Eurogamer if you want to check it out. It should still be on the front page.

If its a solid shooter I'll pick it up.

Looks like fun so far, and i like the overall theme. Always preferred the sky to the sea myself.

I like and enjoy the overall era and theme of the bioshock series, but with 2 bioshock games already, unless they throw something innovative and fresh into the game play, its just going to be another generic money grabbing sequel.

We will have to wait and see, its early days

My. God. That's the purest concentration of irony ore I've seen yet. I'll be rich!

Now, I just need a way to airlift it all out of here...yes, mayhap an air 'ship' what what?

In the mean time, I've got my hat and cane all ready for the ascent to Columbia. I would have preferred another jaunt to the Chaos Engine, but one can't be picky when monocles and moustaches abound.

I knew there was going to be an "Oh the Irony Post" :p, I made my post on the topic earlier in the post, people jumping in threads being almighty and posting "this has been done before' just ticks me off. Either move on to another thread, or post the relevant thread for those who are interested.

Oh and in reference to your reply, make sure that airship be helium based! we do not want another Hindenburg destroying our load of ore!

I'm so excited I could cry. Seriously, I loved both Bioshock games and although I felt the story of Bioshock 2 was weak, the gameplay and atmosphere was fantastic. So yeah I have high hopes for this new location and era of Infinite

I liked the first one a lot, the second one was terrible in my opinion. This one looks interesting. Probably worth a look if nothing else.
