Greg Berlanti producer of Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl tv shows has reportedly teamed with Mara Brock Akil (creator of The Game and Being Mary Jane) and her husband Salim Akil to develop a tv series starring DC Comics character Black Lightning.

My favorite line out of Black Thunder's Wikipedia page is:

The original candidate for DC Comics' first headlining black superhero was a character called the Black Bomber, a white racist who would turn into a black superhero under stress, and be later described by comics historian Don Markstein as "an insult to practically everybody with any point of view at all."

I mean, WTF right? Can't help but laugh at just how stupid that sounds.

Since this doesn't appear to be another CW show, I might be interested in it. Will have to check it out again when it gets further along in development.

It's the CW so I assume it will be young, sexy Black Lighting. If that's the case, then probably not, unless they make them his cousins or something.

It's not necessarily CW. Article says that the producers are pitching to networks right now. CW might not want it, 3 superhero shows is a good chunk of their airtime already.

Reading between the lines, sounds like Thunder and Lightning are gonna be there in some form.
