Jethro DeVane, a 71-year-old man in Rock Hill, South Carolina has filed a lawsuit against that city for a June 2019 incident in which police ordered him out of his home and held him at gun point with his hands up—all while he was completely naked.

DeVane says he was sleeping on the night of the incident in question, when he saw light shining through his window and got up to investigate by opening his back , according to a report from CNN based on his legal complaint.

The light was from a flashlight being shone by officers, who were searching for four juveniles. But upon seeing DeVane’s door open, they descended upon the elderly man with all of the aggression that we have come to expect from police officers.

From CNN:

In body cam footage, officers can be heard saying “Rock Hill police, let me see your hands! Let me see your f**cking hands! Get out! Get out! Don’t f**cking shut that door!”
According to the complaint, the officer was “aggressively pointing his department-issued firearm” at DeVane and “cussing him, was about to shoot him.” DeVane told the officer he lived in the house.
The complaint adds DeVane was “aggressively” ordered out of the home and into his backyard “completely naked.” Officers searched his home while the officer who approached him first held him at gunpoint, forcing the elderly man to “keep his hands on the outside wall of the home,” the complaint says.
Following the house search, the officer who held DeVane told him they were looking for a group of juveniles “running around trying to break into cars,” the complaint says.

Well, if you are looking for kids breaking into cars, a naked 71 year old in their own house might look very similar if you're a US police officer and he's black.

Even if you take race out of this, which I already know people are going to do because that shit's as predictable as the sunrise, they pointed a gun at a naked man in his own home. Even I know you don't point a gun at someone you don't plan on killing, that is so wildly irresponsible and dangerous that that guy is clearly not suitable to be a cop.

0.0009 percent of the United States Population said they have seen rampant voter fraud (estimating 3000 claims from vote counters vs the population of 328 million.), and 73 million people are convinced that the election must be thrown out and the only fair thing is to install Trump as de facto Emperor.

Actual Video footage is shown time and time again about how Police regular abuse the Black Population, with a large amount of these same 73 Million people saying "We don't know what happened before" "It's not all cops" "What about the white people who go through this as well" And sidebar, if you CAN show me when police did this to a white person... oddly enough, my position wouldn't change as it's more than Police are a ruthless autonomous invading Force that needs to be brought under control.

Can anyone explain this discrepancy?

... Are you asking for the obvious answer or some of the alternative ones? Because I am interested in seeing the justifications for what this man did wrong to deserve this.
I'm looking forward to the alternative ones. We have a 4000 post thread where a grainy video with no video is supposed to be proof that we are supposed to discount untold millions of votes and elect Trump. I'm curious to see the maneuvering that this video with sound and obvious displays of treatment against this fellow citizen will be justified. And how this situation can somehow be different than the one grainy video that has been debunked as normal procedure still should be clung to as proof of voter fraud and to throw out the election, and we can throw this video on the ever increasing pile of how Police have run amuck so they can burn it and say "nothing to see here".

I'd hope that someone would just finally say "I'm Prejudiced and I don't really care about what happens to people who aren't me", but I'm fine with seeing the alternative stuff for now.

This fight must have actually been easier when it was against people who just openly hated you. At least they admitted there was a fight.

Speaking of double standards, haven't the police repeatedly investigated themselves and found themselves innocent, yet you still complain that justice wasn't properly served?

And you're belittling others who, like you, feel that justice wasn't properly served after an internal investigation regarding voter fraud?

So you understand, it seems like. You understand that your personal prejudices and hills to die on aren't everybody's, and theirs aren't yours. Sure, it would be ideal if everybody cared equally about every injustice, but that's not realistic.

Whether or not this or that was actually a true injustice worth caring about is a different discussion. I just wanted to point out how easily you belittle others for seeking justice while complaining about how the same is done to you. If you can dismiss their concerns, they can dismiss yours.

Nobody takes you seriously even when you're not this openly patronising.
